The articles said that she was "piling on the pounds" and "has gained weight like her father Elvis." What the tabs didn’t know is that they "outed" Presley’s pregnancy. She said she felt "forced" to reveal the fact that she is expecting a child with her husband Michael Lockwood. Her attorney Simon Smith said Presley is "deeply upset and offended by this article, especially as it was widely published just as she and her family were meant to be celebrating her happy news."

Presley posted a message on her MySpace last week that read, "After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant." She also said, "It is unfortunate that I couldn’t have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances." The baby is due this fall.

Presley, 40, and Lockwood, 46, were married on January 22, 2006. This was her fourth marriage. She was married to Nicolas Cage from August 2002 until May 2006; Michael Jackson from May 1994 to January 1996; and Danny Keough from October 1988 until they divorced in 1994. Keough served as best man at her wedding to Lockwood and they remain very close friends. The couple has two children together - Danielle Riley, 18, and Benjamin, 15. This will be the first child for Lockwood.
