Lisa Marie meets Bubba

Lisa Marie adjusted the big sunglasses in the rearview mirror. Her long highlighted hair waved in the balmy Louisiana air. She stepped onto the curve of Merlotte's, a famous grill in the small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. She was there for a purpose. All her life she had heard of the sightings of her father. She had wondered if they were true. She went into the grill and removed the sunglasses. She sat down at a table and a slim waitress came over to her. She had a long blonde ponytail and big brown eyes. She was wearing what she guessed was the designated uniform: a white t-shirt that had the Merlotte's emblem on it, a pair of short black shorts, and white tennis shoes.

Lisa smiled and ordered coffee. She then inquired about the waitresses name. The waitress had a Southern drawl and it made Lisa want to giggle but she kept a firm face. The waitress said, "My name is Sookie Stackhouse. I've been at Merlotte's for a while now. The bartender over there is Sam Merlotte and he's the owner. Are you new to Bon Temps or just passing through?" Lisa starred at the bartender and smiled at him glancing back at Sookie. "Oh I uh, I am just passing through. I'm actually on my way to Shreveport. I am looking for a vampire bar called Fangtasia. Have you heard of it?"

Lisa could tell by the look on the girls face that she had more than heard about Fangtasia. Sookie glanced down at her pad and back at Lisa, "Yeah I guess you could say that. I have frequented that bar in the past actually. I could take you after I get off. I am off tonight at ten. Do you want me to lead you there? You'd have to drive though because I don't do good in the city I'm afraid." Lisa Marie nodded and her eyes lit up, "I'd like that Sookie. By the way, I am Lisa Marie Presley."

Sookie shook her hand firmly and set off to get Lisa's coffee. When Sookie came back she sat the coffee down and slid into the seat across from Lisa. She whispered, "I was just wondering actually why you came to Louisiana and what's your business at Fangtasia? I have some friends there that might can help you if you are looking for someone in particular."

Lisa sighed and took out the picture of her father. She slid it across the table and into Sookie's sight. "This is my father Elvis Presley. I guess you are kinda familiar with him if you've listened to classic rock music. Well I am looking for him. Since he died when I was nine years old, I have heard the sightings of him. Since vampires have come out I have put two and two together and I have this thought. You are more and likely gonna laugh if I tell you what I think but please just consider it. I think my daddy may be among the undead, he might be a vampire."

Sookie gulped and knew this day would come soon, how soon she couldn't tell but Lisa Marie was very smart. If she knew that both her parents were now among the undead she might have freaked. Sookie shrugged and nodded, "Hey anything is possible. I don't knock anything right now. I know of two vampires that might be able to help you. My friend Eric Northman is the owner of Fangtasia. They have booked few people to sing there before. They might have booked your daddy, if your daddy can recollect who he is."

Lisa just nodded and for a few moments sat quiet. Soon the sun went down and darkness touched the earth. It was eight o'clock when a vampire entered the halls of Merlotte's. He was tall and musuclar built with brown hair and blue eyes. Sookie came over to Lisa Marie and smiled, "This is Bill Compton. He lives just across the field from me. Bill this is Lisa Marie Presley. She's going with me after I get off to meet with Eric and Pam at Fangtasia." Bill nodded politely, "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Presley. If I can be of any assistance to you please let me know."

Lisa was intrigued by Bill Compton. Maybe because he was a vampire and he had that allure to him. At a quarter after ten they were on their way to Shreveport to Fangtasia. Sookie looked at Lisa Marie and asked, "Can you stop off at Walmart and let me run in and get a t-shirt? I need something besides a Merlotte's uniform to wear to Fangtasia." Lisa shot her a glance and reached in the back seat of the car. She drew out a long black evening dress with a split up the side. She handed it to Sookie, "So change...you can wear this. I usually just wear the dresses one time then throw them aside."

Sookie changed in the car and by the time they arrived at Fangtasia she looked like a million dollars. Lisa Marie noticed the atmosphere where a lot of fangbangers were hanging around. Inside she saw a throne in the middle of the room. On it sat a most unusual vampire. She assumed it was Eric Northman. Eric was very arrogant from just looking at him. Sookie went up to them with a smile planted on her face. She said, "Eric this is the daughter of Elvis Presley...."Just as she said that Eric put his finger up to his lips to shush Sookie. He pointed to the stage and Lisa Marie gasped.

On the stage stood Elvis Presley, hardly looking like the father Lisa knew. She felt faint suddenly and had only imagined if she found out Elvis was among the undead. Eric got up and circled around Lisa. "He hardly remembers anything from his life...and I can only imagine what he's going to say at the sight of you. Why did you have to come here? You are only making his existence more tainted." Lisa glared at the sheriff of Area 5. "I am Lisa Motherfucking Presley and I don't answer to no one but God...and from the looks of it, you ain't quiet reached that point yet. He is MY father and I will talk to him. I've waited thirty-three years for this. Do you know what it's like? He was my world and I lost him at nine years old. I was tortured."

Lisa Marie was stubborn and this amused Eric. Eric had only imagined what it would be like had this day come. It had arrived and now he was faced with the dilemma to protect Elvis now known as Bubba or let Lisa talk to him. Bubba was done with his song shortly and came off stage. He came strolling up to Eric, Pam, Lisa, and Sookie. He took off the dark sunglasses revealing startling blue eyes, those of a vampire's. Lisa was going to cry, she felt it coming.

Eric came up behind her, "Don't you dare scare him. He's been through hell enough Lisa Marie." Lisa went up to him and smiled slightly, "Hello...Bubba. I'm Lisa Marie. Do you know me?" He shook his head those blue eyes becoming slightly enlarged. "I uh can't say that I do, ma'am." He seemed to look closer than and suddenly the vampire gasped. He fell backwards a little and his fangs extended. Eric came in front of Lisa and looked at Pam, "Take her to the back till I can calm him down."

Pam Ravenscroft took Lisa Marie and Sookie to the back in Eric's office. Pam rolled her eyes, "Such mortal drama." Sookie laughed a little and sat down on the plush leather sofa. Lisa Marie leaned against the wall truly worried about her father. Minutes later Eric emerged from the outside with a scared Bubba trailing behind. Bubba looked at Lisa Marie and looked over at Eric, "Mr. Eric, if ya wouldn't mind I need a minute alone with Yisa."

Tears poured from the crystalline blue eyes of Lisa Marie. It was the first time Lisa had heard her name mentioned in years, the name only Daddy used. "Daddy..." She choked out and covered her mouth with the back of her hand. Bubba smiled that sincere smirk of his, "Well I uh, Yisa, this is very awkward for me. I haven't seen ya in years, Buttonhead. I'm so sorry for leaving' ya and Mama alone. But uh, Mama is here with me now Yisa, and we're happy as vampires. Can ya ever forgive me?"

All was forgiven as Lisa hugged her Daddy close. That was how Lisa Marie came to know Bubba, aka Elvis was now part of the undead.
