Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan received a one day jail sentence stemming from her seven misdemeanor charges.

Lohan pleaded no contest Thursday to one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence, two counts of reckless driving, two counts of being under the influence of cocaine, and driving while having a .08 blood alcohol level or higher. The charges stem from her arrests in May and July. Lohan was sentenced to 96 hours in jail, 10 days of community service, and was ordered to complete drug treatment and enroll in an 18-month alcohol program. She is also on three years probation and is forbidden from being associated with drug users during this time. She was also ordered by Judge H. Chester Horn Jr. to attend a three-day county coroner program where she will be required to visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunk drivers.

Shortly after her deal was struck, Lohan released the following statement: "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I tool responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case. No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone else for my conduct other than myself. I thank God I did not injure others. I easily could have. I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so."

Lohan, 21, is currently in her third rehab center this year. She is at the Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah. She has reportedly been biking, hiking, doing daily yoga, and stocking shelves at a local market. All of her earnings are then donated to charity. Maybe this will be the wake-up call she so desperately needed.
