Lindsay Lohan’s Former Bodyguard Blames Parents

Almeida, who worked for Lohan from 2002 to 2005, recently did an interview with InTouch magazine and said that her parents are the reason why her life is so messed up now. Almeida reportedly said, "Lindsay was a very sweet and talented kid, but she didn’t stand a chance against her parents and the Hollywood system." Almeida claims that Lohan’s mother, Dina, would let her do whatever she wanted including drinking alcohol while underage. He also said that Mom & Pop Lohan used Lindsay to pay their bills. He said, "Lindsay was the family cash cow – and she resented it. They counted on her to pay their bills…I saw Lindsay exhausted, begging her mother for some time off."

Almeida reportedly said of Lindsay, "From a young age, she dealt with her father’s physical, emotional and drug abuses as well as her mother’s drinking." He also said that when Lindsay was 16 her father became very angry with her while they were driving and "slammed on the brakes and dragged her out of the car, pushed her up against the hood, screamed at her and called her a slut. This was on the Long Island Expressway! I got in the middle of it and pulled him off." Almeida claims that Lindsay was also allowed to spend the night in her then-boyfriend, Aaron Carter’s hotel room, at the age of 15. He said of her parents, "They knew she was sleeping in Aaron’s room. But they seemed happy she had chosen someone that could benefit her singing career." He also contends that she threatened suicide more than once and spent years cutting herself…calling out for help.

Dina Lohan has reportedly not responded to the claims, but Michael Lohan has deemed Almeida a "liar." He said, "Tony is a liar who is out of a job and trying to make some money. I do not know what the bodyguard is talking about. He came into our lives when I was out for one year. Tony is a liar. You can ask Lindsay, and she will tell you." It has not been confirmed just where Lindsay is right now. There have been reports that she is enjoying her third trip to rehab this year at the Cirque Lodge, but there have been other reports that she is not there. She is set to appear in court on August 24 to face charges from her DUI arrest in May and her latest charge of DUI and cocaine possession that occurred at the end of July.
