Lindsay Lohan’s Detox

Lohan is reportedly battling a major addiction to drugs and alcohol, including the highly addictive painkiller OxyContin and cocaine. Her rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, has reportedly requested the media respect her privacy at this time as she tries to get her life in order. A statement was posted online Tuesday that read, "Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day. Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."

Lohan checked into the Promises treatment Facility on Monday after a disastrous weekend that could possibly lead to her serving some jail time. She crashed her car in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday after a night of hard partying and then left the scene. She was later arrested at a local hospital where she received treatment of minor injuries and was cited with driving under the influence and police reportedly found a "usable amount" of an illegal substance thought to be cocaine. Lohan was spotted out on the scene "wasted" the very next night. Pictures and video of a very drunk Lohan collapsing and then being put into the front passenger seat of a car surfaced quickly. The pictures showed Lohan passed out and she was reportedly unresponsive.

Friends and family of Lohan are reportedly "relieved" that she has checked into Promises. A relative reportedly said, "We are all praying for her." A friend of Lohan’s also reportedly said, "We’re all just happy that she is where she is. Everyone’s just been waiting [for something tragic to happen]. All of us thought there would be something soon." This is the second time Lohan has been in rehab this year. She checked into the Wonderland Treatment Facility in January for a month. It was reported that she did not take the rehab very seriously and was back to her hard partying ways as soon as she checked out of the facility. Hopefully this time she will realize just how serious of a situation this has become.
