Life Throws Curve Balls Chpt 10
Sorry I think it has been a year. I have been busy with College and life. Anyway here it is =)
Following that day, we decided, even though the majority of us were hung over, we would celebrate April's cousins birthday; Jordan.
Jordan always had a thing for me. I know that one for sure. I remember before josh came into my life, Jordan lived in April's basement. He somehow got a hold of my email and would message me on msn about coming down to see him so we could hang out. Although it was tempting, I couldn't do that I mean it was April's cousin. But now I was with josh, and there was no way I was going to change that.
Later, after attempting to recover at home from that night of fun and what I could honestly remember, Crystal and I headed back to Darren's house, where the party was supposed to begin. Crystal and I got there to meet everyone, but to our surprise, no one was there.
"Um...did we miss this memo?" Crystal turned to my shoulder and asked.
"I think so, let me call josh." I stated.
Just as I was about to grab my phone, Darren came out from inside with an angry look on his face.
"What's wrong?" We both asked.
"Peter just called me, He and Josh are going to April's house because there is already a party going on."
I was generally pissed off because my boyfriend has decided to ditch me for Peter and forget that we were support to come to Darren's house first. So at that moment in time, rage took over me and I snatched my phone out of my purse and started to text message.
So are you just going to leave me here now? Message sent.
"It's ok, we can just drink here and then eventually think of something to do" Darren said as he made his way to the garage. He pulled open the garage and inside was his older sister and brother in law. I watched him grab some drinks from them and head over to us.
"Here" He said handing us both a red plastic cup.
"No thanks" Crystal said as she pushed his hand away.
I however was up to getting my 'drink on'. I took a sip of the drink without even asking what it was became very surprised. It tasted like lemonade. Suddenly I could hear my purse ringing.
"take this please" I shoved my cup to Crystals hand.
"Ok...Pick it up quick!" She shouted.
"I'm trying!" I jokingly screamed back as I tried to search for my phone. Finally I found it and picked it up.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Babe, I haven't forgotten about you! Peter and I are on our way to get you." Josh said on the other end of the line.
"Oh, ok where are you?" I asked. Just as I asked I suddenly could hear a muffler and base booming in the distance. Suddenly there was Josh and Peter whipping around the corner.
"Never mind" I suddenly said as I saw them. Before anything else was said, I closed my phone as Peter pulled on the side of the road. We all walked over to the car and looked inside.
"So...you forget about us?" I asked jokingly.
"We could never forget you Stephy!" Peter said with a smile on his face.
"Get in the car, let's go! It's time to party!" Peter screamed at all of us. We all piled into the car and off we went.
"Stephy! Your here!" April screamed running up to me as I got out of the car.
"Yeah its me!" I smiled as I approached her.
We all walked along April's driveway to the backyard where April's family and her cousin's friends were. As I walked in, I was greeted by April's parents who loved me like their own daughter.
"Stephanie, I didn't think you were going to make it! Where is your drink?" April's mom shouted
"Um, Well, I didn't bring any to have" I said sadly
"That is why you have a best friend to help you out!" Peter said as he crept up behind me holding a Vex in his hands.
"Oh, thank you!" I said as I grabbed the Vex out of his hands and began drinking it.
I slowly made my way to Josh where he was standing with his phone out texting.
"Who yeah talking too?" I asked
"Nobody, why you asking?" Josh said in a stern voice/
"I was just asking geese" I said disappointed
"It's just no one don't worry about it" Josh said sounding angry.
I looked at him a little hurt that he was using this tone with me. He had never before. It hurt a lot. It gave me a sick feeling in my stomach that something wasn't right, But I ignored it like I always did.
Again, the night passed with fun times and drinking with April's family. It was about 11:30 before I began to get really tired from a night of drinking. So I stumbled up the stairs to April's sister's room where I would crash on the floor. Just as I sprawled out on the floor Josh came through the door to come lay down with me.
"Babe, you asleep yet?" Josh asked
"Almost" I said softly
"Oh alright, I'm ganna crash, I'm so tired" Josh whispered as he laid down on the floor beside me.
I waited about five minutes before I looked over to him. He was passed out; I could hear him snoring lightly. I reached up by his head and grabbed a hold of his phone. I needed to know who he was texting, because something just didn't feel right. I opened his inbox messaged to a few from his brother and his mother, But then there was one from a girl named Bella. I opened it up to a message saying
Hey hun, When are you coming to mikey's house? I miss you.
Who the hell is this? I don't want him to know I'm going through his phone. So maybe I should just wait and him tell me himself, I mean maybe it is just an old friend? I thought to myself as I placed his phone back on the floor by him as a million and one thoughts ran through my head before I fell asleep.
