Life Throws Curve Balls Chp 8

Dear Diary,

Josh just moved to Brampton. I miss him so much, why can’t he just live across the street. Life would be so much easier, I could just walk across the street and he would be standing there open arms ready for me. Unfortunately no, he has to live a half hour drive away. It’s been 23 hours 12 minutes and 2 seconds since I saw him and it feels like a year has gone by and knowing I won’t see him for another three days kills me inside.

I closed my diary and looked around my room in hopes that an idea to distract me from this boredom would spring.
"Stephanie, Crystal and Darren are here" I heard my mom yell from upstairs. I placed my diary on my desk and slowly made my way upstairs. I walked through the kitchen and over to the front door. I threw on my sneakers and stepped outside. There sitting on the front steps was Crystal and Darren.
"Hey guys" I said trying to sound as happy as I could
"Stephy, whats wrong?" Crystal asked.

"I miss josh, I hate that he moved." I whined
"Oh stephy, its ok, you will see him in a couple of days. Don’t worry". Crystal stated trying to comfort me.
"I’m hungry" Darren shouted
"Wow, so I’m upset and all you can think about is food" I laughed.
"I’m a guy, its what I am programmed to do." He laughed as well.
"I’ll go grab my wallet, and we can go to Wendy’s ok?" I asked.
Darren and Crystal shook their heads as I got up to run into the house to grab my wallet.
"Mom, I’m going to Wendy’s, I’ll be back later." I shouted running out the door.

About twenty minutes later, we had settled into Wendy’s and had our food sitting in front of us.
"So did you meet his mother?" Crystal asked
"Yeah, she seemed nice for the brief second that I exchanged words with her." I smiled.
"So, how are things going with you and josh? You happy?" Crystal asked curiously.
"As far as I know things are perfect now, And I haven’t been this happy since forever to be honest." I smiled.
I looked at Darren and saw that his eyes had wondered off into another direction and his body language had changed.
"Is everything ok?" I asked Darren.
"Oh yeah, everything is perfect." He smiled. He looked down at his food and smiled.
Just as I was about to ask why he was smiling I felt two hands grab me from behind and jerk me.

"What the hell?" I questioned out loud. I turned my head and to my surprise it was Josh.
"Josh!!! What are you doing here? How did you get here? I thought I wasn’t going to see you for a bit, how did you know I was here? I missed you!!" I screamed with excitement.
"Babe, relax. My mom took me to your house, but your mom told me I could find you here." He smiled. He leaned into me and kissed me on the mouth. Butterflies were flowing through my stomach as our lips met. We parted and he moved into the chair beside me.
"I can’t stay to long, my mom just needed to pick up something." Josh looked over at me.
"That’s ok, how is your uncles?" I asked.
"Meh, it’s ok. I start work tomorrow with him at my old work" Josh stated.
"Oh really? So does this mean that you can take me out on a date?" I laughed.
"Yeah I guess this does" He smiled.
We sat and held hands under the table for a bit before he told me his mom was waiting for him again outside. We kissed goodbye and he walked out the door. I missed him already again, but seeing him like that made me so happy.

Again sorry its sooo short! Next one will b longer. Were off to Peter’s Party!!
