Life Throws Curve Balls Chp 7
Chp 7 sorry its really late
I spent all day at school worried about what was going on with that Megan girl and josh. I was so upset that this had happened. I mean like I really like this guy, he is everything I have ever wanted. I continued to text Josh throughout the day not mentioning the night before about him and Megan, or the fact that I was with Krzysztof.
"Hey Steph, are you ok?" Crystal asked me as I put my things from my locker into my backpack.
"Yeah, I think so. I just...I want to know what is going on with josh and I" I frowned.
"Don’t worry; I am sure everything will turn out ok." Crystal smiled.
I texted April but she hadn’t responded to me all day. So I slowly dragged my feet to the school bus. I slowly walked up the stairs of the bus and sat myself at the back. I watched out the window at the couples who would walk hand in hand. I tried not to shed a tear as I watched them thinking ‘why don’t I deserve that?’
Finally about five minutes of watching couples from school walk by my bus, the bus driver began to move. I put my headphones in my ears and turned up the volume on my IPod. ‘I don't wanna close my eyes I don't want to fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you, babe’ I listened to the song as we left y high school.
‘Don’t cry Steph, don’t cry, don’t cry’ I said to myself as I stared out of my window. Little did I know, my phone had finally gotten a text message sometime while I was wallowing in self-pity. Slowly the bus came to a stop and I was able to walk off the crowded bus full of teenagers who have no respect for anyone. I stopped as I stepped off the bus and opened my purse to find my phone flashing text message from April.
"Ok, what time can you come over, and I can tell you what happened" April’s text read.
I thought about weather to take the public transit, or my personal taxi service called "my mother". I searched through my wallet and found money.
"Alright, I am taking the bus" I whispered quietly to myself. I turned and quickly walked to the city bus stop. I picked up my phone and began to dial the number to see what time the bus was going to be there. Then suddenly I looked to my right and there was the city bus, headed my way. I ran towards the bus stopped and searched for my transit tickets. I hopped onto the bus and slid my ticket into the slot. I smiled to the bus driver and slowly walked to the back of the bus. I searched through my purse to find my IPod. After about a two minute battle in my purse with my papers all in it, I finally managed to find it. I slipped in my head phones and started to listen to my music.
I arrived at April’s house about a half hour later egger to hear what had happened at school.
"Hey April! So tell me what happened?" I asked as soon as I saw her.
"Nice to see you too!" She smiled.
"So tell me please, ive been going insane all day!" I cried out
"Alright I’ll tell you! Ok, so at school I went up to Megan and asked her about josh. She said that they were still together..." My stomach started to turn as I felt tears start to form
"So I called josh and spoke to him. He said that they broke up. I was a bit confused until I got them to talk. They spoke on the phone for about five minutes until she gave me the phone back. So then I spoke to josh again and long story short, they were broken up, she just didn’t exactly know." April explained.
I felt so much better after that. I felt like a huge wave had been lifted off my shoulder. I hugged April and laughed about how I got so upset over it.
It was about 730pm, and I was sitting in April’s room watching T.V when my phone rang. It was josh.
"Hello?" I said as I picked up my phone.
"Hey hun, how are you?" He asked.
"Oh, I’m better now, how are you?" He asked me.
"I’m doing ok, but I wanted to tell you something. If I stop talking to you for a good two weeks its probably because I’m either mad at you, or ive moved on. That’s what I did with Megan. I’m sorry you had to go through that, I won’t ever do that to you I promise, I just wanted to tell you that hun"
"Oh, well um, ok then josh. I’m sorry I jumped down your throat about you and Megan, I just really like you and didn’t want to get hurt." I whined
"Hey, don’t worry I care about you too much to hurt you Stephanie. I promise!" Josh said.
