Chapter 2
Mark
What I saw was a girl, maybe thirteen or fourteen, standing in front of me with a bright pink....well, everything was bright pink, the shirt, glasses, jeans.....everything. "Hi! My name is Angie! What's yours?" Angie says as she plops down on the seat next to me.
"Hi? I'm Mark..." I say, not really knowing if I wanted to get to know her.
I must've been scooting away from her slowly because she said to me with a sparkle in her eye, "Don't worry, I don't bite!".
"Oh, sorry. I don't have much friends so.....yeah." I said, getting kind of embarrassed and blushing.
"That's o-" She started saying something to me, probably that it was ok, but the bus started moving and it lurched forward. She banged her head on the seat in front of us and leaned back so she wouldn't hurt her head anymore. "Owwww!!!! Aww!! That hurt!!!" Angie yells.
A guy comes up behind Angie and says in a deep voice, "Hey, you ok?" Angie looks at him and almost faints. He was wearing a dark blue shirt with writing on it that said, "Can you handle this?" and dark brown hair.
Still dazed, Angie replied, "Yes I am thank you." and she turned her back to him. He stood there with a surprised look on his face
JESSIE
The bus pulled out of my complex and I was still walking down the aisle. I was looking for an empty seat when I saw a girl dressed in entirely pink! There was a guy sitting next to her.......he had a cool shirt on that said "You want a piece of this?", lovely eyes that were green, a beautiful shade of green. Hmmmm he was kinda cute. No! Stop it! Don't think like that! You're a tomboy Jess! I snapped out of my daydreaming and found a seat. Unfortunately, it was right behind the girl in the pink, and the guy sitting next to her. UGH! When are we going to get to school? It looks like God was on my side today, because right when I said that, we pulled up alongside the curb where school was. Yay! Finally! Ok, I just hope school won't be a drag. O.K. Here goes.........
MARK
We were just leaving the last stop when the most beautiful girl walked on. She looked at me for a moment and I saw that her eyes were blue. Light blue. They were gorgeous. Snap out of it! Your GOTH! And Goth's don't like girls.......at least I think so. And besides, it's only eighth grade. I got out of the bus with Angie at my heels.
"So, what's your favorite subject? Do you like pie? Have you ever had a girlfriend? Did you go here for sixth grade? Do you have any sibl-" I cut her off as she started to ask her fifth question.
"Don't you have to go to your locker? Now?" I asked, a bit rudely.
She looked at the ground, "Yeah, I guess....".
"Okay, see you around." And then she left. Finally! Some peace and quiet. I headed towards my locker to put the books that I didn't need away.
ANGIE
I was sorta sad when Mark told me to leave. Well, he didn't exactly tell me to go...He suggested it. I kinda liked him. He was cute, but you sort of got the Goth vibe from him.
I had hoped he could like me, but I saw the look on his face when he saw that girl. She was really pretty, but being pretty isn't everything to get a guy's attention. I have some tricks up my sleeve, and I might use them soon...
JESSIE
I went straight to my locker as soon as I got off the bus. I was kind of hoping that I would run into him again. But no such luck. Once I reached my locker I grabbed the books I would need for first period, and slammed my locker shut. I turned around and bumped into someone.
"Watch where your going!" I immediately yelled. I picked up my books and looked up. I was staring into those beautiful green eyes.
MARK
I was heading toward my locker, and was almost there, when someone bumped into me. "Watch where your going!" The girl screeched. When she looked up I was surprised to see that it was the girl from the bus. She looked mesmerized.
"I'm sorry." I say as I get all of my stuff together.
"Oh, that's okay. Sorry I was so rude. My na-" The bell rang. She looked up at the bell and a small smile played across her face. "Ummm. Sorry got to go. Bye!" And she left me standing there.
JESSIE
Yes! Saved by the bell! I didn't have to tell him my name! Ok. Now I have to go to....Math. With Mr. Peterson. Hmmm, I wonder if he's nice...When I got to the classroom, there were desks scattered all over the place. Students were spread out all over the place, and the teacher wasn't paying attention to anything. Some students were even making out! Gross! Yuck, really, you have to do that in a classroom? "Okay class," Mr. Peterson pushes his glasses back up his nose. "Time to get started."
Bring on the torture.
