Life Changes
I have lost the only girl I have ever loved and still I'm fighting for her even though she is with someone else but I don't want to move on...

Like the wind of the morning calm,
And somber turn into raging storms,
That is blowing through the living trees,
Causing their leaves to fall to the ground.
In time the tree may die,
But the leaves of its past shall blow,
Through the wind and sculpt the landscape in their image,
From bad to good and good to bad;
Changes occur in front of our eyes.
Your life may have changed now,
That I am not in it,
But mine never will,
I lay down to rest every night,
And stare up at the ceiling of this empty house,
On this empty street,
As all my neighbors sleep in content of their life,
Filled with false happiness and greed.
Your love has changed your heart,
In the hands of another,
And fallen into the arms of someone new.
Oh how I wish I could catch you with mine,
All these changes and yet one thing still remains true,
And unchanged untarnished by modern life.
No, my love for you stays true,
And that's why I won't hinder at the walls of that change.
