Life As A Third Degree Criminal - Chapter 6

Sorry I haven't written in so long you guys. Just with all this school-work and all these dumb, crammed in projects. Ughhh it's been a hassle here. Anyway here is Chapter 6 (I know you all have been wondering when it's gonna come out) Picture Of Lance.
Lucy's POV

The girl in my care looked about my age. 'Too young to die," I thought, 'too young to die. Please don't leave us.' I looked at
her papers

Mally Albright

Age: 19
Date of Birth: May 18, 1991
Parents: Steven Albright and May Albright

A truck driver called in a car crash on Highway 64. Paramedics rushed to the scene. Was found with a boy, also 19. Both severe injuries. Boys name: Lance Wynter

My eyes widened. Lance! O my god! The last thing that came to my mind was: Is Lance ok?

I woke up in a chair, very dizzy.
"Honey don't stand up yet. You're very weak."

Hey! I know that voice.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Albert. You. >gasp< Won't. Believe. >gasp< What. Happened. >gasp<."

My yell was so hard and so long I was out of breathe.

"It's Lance. I know. I've already gone to check on him and he is fine. But we've got to call Mark. He needs to know."

I shuddered at that name. It always gave me the creeps.
Albert came over to me and wrapped me in his arms.

"I say let's go check on Lance again. Hopefully he will wake up soon," Albert whispered in my ear.
I nodded and we walked off.

Lance's POV

I slowly woke up. I felt so tired and groggy. My head was pounding and my arms were throbbing.

"Lance? Lance are you awake?"

I swear I've heard that voice many times before. I just couldn't picture who the person was. An old ex? A child-hood friend?
A colleague?

"Lance do you remember us?" a man's voice asked this time.

Slowly my eyes fluttered open and I looked up. I saw two people standing in front of me. A man and a woman, both my age, were looking down at me holding each other's hands.

"Lance it's us. Lucy and Albert, remember us?" asked the woman.

My brain clicked right away.

"L-L-Lucy. Lucy Lehman?" I asked.

She cried out in delight. "Yes! Yes it's me Lance. Oh god I'm so glad you're all right!" she sobbed.

"So how have you been?" asked Albert.

"I'm alright I guess. Ow. Jeez my head is killing me."

"Man Lance. You just survived one of the deadliest crashes in history and you HEAD hurts?" Albert said in shock. Then he whistled. "I'll go get you some pain killers. You lie down," he said when he was done.

"Ima stay here with him," Lucy replied while Albert walked down the hall.

"I-I think I'll just lie down for a bit like Albert said I should do," I told Lucy.

"Ok Lance. You close your eyes for a bit. I'll wake you up when Albert gets back."

I could hardly hear her. I was falling fast. 'So tired' I thought, 'so tired.'

Mally's POV

I woke up to very bright lights. The room I was in was sooooooooooooo white it wasn't even funny. The place smelled like hand-sanitizer. It was so sterile and clean it made me sick. Of course I was happy it was this clean, but man it was hard to concentrate with a smell like that. The bed was all white too. The sheets, the pillows, no sign of color anywhere accept my orange hospital bracelet. Even the nightgown I was wearing was white. Wait...nightgown?? How did I...oh whatever. I looked down at my hands. My left one was blue all over and instead of being hooked up trough my hand, the IV was hooked up through my arm.

"Ha wow you popped my vein. Thanks. That was just what I needed."

Jeez. I felt so tired. It was as if I closed my eyes for more than 10 seconds I might never wake up again. A nurse walked into my room holding a clipboard.

"How ya feeling Mally?" she asked me. She had really pretty red hair and her nametag said her name was Lucy.

"Tired and a little hungry," I replied back to her.

"Do you want some Jello? We have blue, green, orange, yellow, and red."

"Ummmm I'll take a blue please.'

"Ok. Be back in 5 minutes."

"K."

Yummmmmmmmm Jello. I haven't had some since I was 12. Wow. 7 years ago.
Gosh it's been a long time. I lay back down and stared at the ceiling. The tiles were gray and white checked. Almost like a checkerboard I suppose.

"Here honey."

The nurse had come back in and was opening my Jello for me. She handed it to me along with a spoon.

"Thank-you Miss Lucy." I said kindly.

She smiled. "You're welcome sweetie." She got up and walked away.

I ate my jello in peace and pleasure. "I gotta say this is scrumptdidilicious!" I cried out to no one but myself' After I finished my jello I set the empty cup down and fell asleep.

Caroline's POV

I was just settling into bed when I got the phone call.

"Hello?'

"Hi! Is this Miss Caroline Skywater?" a high-pitched voice asked.

"Yes........what is this about?"

"Mally Albright has been in a car crash and is in the........"
