LG D900 Crystal - Looks to Drool Over!

Many companies are experimenting with their designs to create something out of the ordinary. This could be in terms of a swivel phone such as Nokia's 7705 Twist or Nokia 7610's "strange"keyboard or Motorola's Aura with a circular display screen. These unique designs help in creating a style statement for the masses and also in showing the creative side of the mobile phone manufacturer. Many people buy phones mainly based upon their appearance while their features tend to take a backseat. LG has not been one to stay out of this unique design arena either as has been seen from their Chocolate series which brought about the beautiful keypad touch mode which was one of its kind and the black-red combination exemplified its design.

LG GD900 Crystal is another handset with a unique design but none too strange about it. It looks superb and would get you second looks for sure and also create a style statement in the handsets market. It has a transparent slide out with a touch sensitive keypad. This is truly amazing to use and makes it stand out due to its classy finish. The device has a well polished casing which comes in a stunning silver colour and gives an overall elegant view of things. The display is bright and clear which further increases the ravishing look of the piece. There are three keys underneath the display panel for answering/making a call, opening the menu and for ending/disconnecting a call. LG logo is also embellished under the display panel. Device has dimensions of 105 millimeters tall, 52.5 millimeters in width and 13.5 millimeters in depth. It also is a light 127 grams making it easy to carry around and won't put a load when carrying in the pockets. Display screen measures 3 inches in size or 480 X 800 pixels. It is capable of display a stunning 16 million colours and as mentioned has a TFT capacitative touchscreen. Employed is the state of the art, S-Class touch user interface and touch screen is applicable on the keypad as well. One can even keep gesture shortcuts where any gesture motion on the display screen initiates a certain pre-set command. Accelerometer sensor, multi touch input method, proximity sensor for auto turnoff and handwriting recognition are the other screen based features to give you an emphatic experience in navigation and usage of the phone.

LG GD900 has a mammoth 8 megapixel camera (3264 X 2488 pixels) with autofocus and LED flash to better the image so captured. There is also a dedicated camera key for capturing those treasured moments in a jiffy. Video recording is possible in three different formats of 720 X 480 pixels at 30 frames per second (highest quality) , VGA quality at 30 frames per second (medium quality) and QVGA time lapse and slow motion videos (low quality). There is a separate video player and a video gallery for enjoying the videos captured and also for videos added through synchronisation. A second camera is also present on the front side which uses the 3G service to be used in making video calls. These images and videos along with various other file formats such as music, office files etc. is stored on its large memory which comprises of 1.5GB of internal memory and external memory of upto 32GB using a microSD card.
