Letting Go is Never Easy

Every time I see him with her, it breaks my heart. It's been 9 months since we broke up. But my heart still skips a beat when I see him.

I wonder if remaining friends with him after he broke my heart was a good thing or not. I act all strong and put up a face just to hide my true feelings from him. Well his name is Calvin he is 25 years old and mine is Alexis I am 24 years old and me and him were dating for 4 years. It started out all so loving..you know how love is when it all starts, but then over the years we started facing our very own problems. Naturally I thought it was the ups and downs of stable relationships, but when he kept on cheating. I finally decided that may be it was never meant.

Tell that to my heart which is refusing to let him go. On some weekends me, him, his "current girlfriends" and friends who over the years me and him have known together we hang out for drinks, talks and laughter. His girlfriend is only 19 years and beautiful. The 1st time I saw them together he refused to admit he was her boyfriend, introduced her to me as just a friend, someone who goes to the same college as him. Well I didn't believe him.

And most of the time it kills me to watch them together. Although this does not ruin my party mood but it breaks what's left of my heart.

My friend Trish walks to me and say "Don't cry for what might have been, don't live in the past. It was supposed to be forever, well forever never lasts. Lift your head and dry your tears, forget yesterday.
You guys had the time of our lives, but now Alexis you must move on.
Let it fade away. like it is easy.
