Let’s Dance Even Better With Limo Hire

There are two dance companies performing Swan Lake on the same night. One is a professional world famous troupe appearing in New York. The other a local dance school with 6-16 year old performers one of whom is your grandchild.

Rich and famous people will show up in N.Y. in limousines. Why not show up at your granddaughters recital in a limousine to make her feel just as important as her idol, the professional dancer?

Try to get a group of parents and or grandparents to chip in and have the kids driven to the performance in a couple of limos and of course have flowers to give them when they take their encore bow. Make sure as the get out of the limos, everyone is snapping pictures. They will really feel like the stars they are.

Maybe you can talk your local newspaper into covering the "star studded" even. It would make a great human interest piece and most families will wind up buying more than one copy of that issue to send to out of town relatives.

Hiring an eight passenger limo for seven kids and one chaperone would only cost each person thirty dollars, including the driver’s tip. If you use a local limousine service, you may get a discount. Not too bad for a once in a life time experience.

Now if you have a professional ballet company coming to your city, it would not be inappropriate to have a limo to take you to the theater. Of course you can bring your family car, but a limousine will just add to the ambiance of the evening.

Does your city have a theater company or an opera house? Why not attend opening night dressed to the nines and arrive at the theater in a chauffeured limousine? Who knows, you may start a trend. Obviously you can’t do something like this all the time. But the first performance of the season is a great time to splurge.

In the U.S. it is not uncommon to see limousines at major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, baseball’s World Series, or hockey’s Stanley Cup play offs. In Ireland and much of Europe soccer is the main sporting event.

Obviously limo hire is not cheap, however if you don’t want to drive your car and the event is not an every day occurrence, splurging on a limo for special occasions can be fun. Everyone deserves to be pampered once in awhile.

If you want to shock people, wear jeans and a tee shirt and hire a limousine to take you to the first local showing of the latest Hollywood blockbuster and have your own "opening night" celebration with a few friends. You will certainly draw a lot of attention. Wear sunglasses until you are seated.

You will have people wondering who you really are. A friend did this, but took it one step further. He had two friends dressed in suits go with him. They had distinct bulges under their jackets (which were not guns). It was all just a joke. Some of their friends didn’t recognize them.

Is your wedding anniversary coming up? Hire a limo so that you and your spouse can go out for an evening of dinner and dancing. You won’t have to worry about parking or driving after drinking. A safe as well as special celebration.

We heard of a young man who hired a pink limo to take his wife and newborn daughter home from the hospital. The whole neighborhood came out to greet the two lovely princesses. Of course the whole family was also waiting for them. What a lovely and thoughtful thing to do.

When you are looking to hire a limo for just a couple of hours, you probably don’t need a contract, just a simple agreement as per your credit card receipt.

Even for a short term rental( approximately three hours) remember that cheaper is rarely better. If the limo is late you could miss the start of your event. Often you get a beat up older limo that may break down. The drivers aren’t usually trained in good customer service. There may not be sufficient accident insurance.

Check to see if the company you are considering belongs to any trade associations. Also check the Better Business Bureau. Also check to make sure that the company has insurance and the necessary licenses and permits.

Ask some questions:

- Do they do criminal background checks on all drivers?
- Can they show you’re the required licenses and permits?
- Do they have insurance in case you are injured in an accident?
- Do they have references, corporate or private?

There is a huge demand for limos during prom season. If you know you will need a limousine airport transport during that time, book it now or you may not find an available luxury vehicle from a reputable company.

If you are looking for wedding limos, check out companies that specialize in that service. You will have a better chance of getting the type and number of limos you want. Also book your wedding cars well in advance of the big day, especially if you want a rare vehicle such as a vintage Bentley or Rolls Royce.

If your city has a symphony orchestra and a world famous guest conductor will be leading a concert, you will want to have a limousine to take you to and from the event. Again book your limo as soon as the tickets go on sale.

As with the ballet, if your child’s school band or orchestra is having a concert, why not hire a limo for that also? It may draw attention to the school and help garner support for the area’s school music programs.

Are you having a fund raising dinner for your church or other organization? Why not enter all ticket holders into a raffle for a limo ride to and from the dinner? It should help you sell tickets to the affair. You could also raffle off a limo rental at the dinner that people could use to go to the ballet.
