Let me be a queen for today?
A princess at least?

The sky looks bright enough for dancing.
I want to twirl on all the clouds
and tip toe on the stars at night.
I want to hear them blinking
and singing with the planets.
It is my Madonna gallery
of dreams.

I think that with your help
we might just pull it off
and find ourselves skating
beaming and singing
around the ring of Saturn.
Not to worry
I am not chasing rainbows
but it is a lovely scheme.

I met the Goddess Abundantia
Its true!
Ohh she wore a glorious gown.
The ruffles of lace and feathers
the sparkles of her wealth
it seemed to flow onto forever.
I thought perhaps we could borrow it?
The gown.
Just for this one night
I would wear it with a flare
as we go star shopping.
How awful does that sound?
Do you think that she will miss it?
With all that wealth around?

Oh I should be ashamed
I know
what must I have been thinking?
I got distracted I guess
me wanting to be a queen
or princess for a day
meeting every planet that dared
to come my way.
I want so much to taste moondrops
I simply lost my head!

held safely on the walls at night
as the moonlight comes through.
I wonder if she wears that gown at night
when the moon is full.
and I she knows that we are waiting
to hear what she might
