Lenore

The darkness surrounds you in a deathly silent blanket of fear and nothing else
Yet you welcome it into your arms like you would a lover
You don't run
You don't scream
You stand there and let the darkness circle you
Your eyes go black and your skin turns pale
Your raise your hand and disappear
I turn around and you are there silent but there
Your blonde hair softly moving from the invisible wind
Your hand raised straight out to me
Falling from your hand you drop a white rose
Covered in blood.
