Legacy Of The Knight Ninja: Chapter Three

The Knight’s promise

He stops in an empty city and gets off the motorcycle to look around. He heard an unlikely breeze and he begins to finger his sword. "Zoom," and two steel clashes onto each other.

The figure wears a hood clack that covers his whole face. The monster brushes him back and summons a bunch of lizard like creature. Saike took out an amulet from his pocket and yells, "Transform." Soon a portal is summoned before him and he quickly enters it. The portal closes and Saike was gone. The cloaked figure look back and forth but he was nowhere to be found.

"Ninjitsu art of wind movement," and in a flash, the entire lizard’s minion turns to dust. The figure, now alert, conjures up a sword and stands there waiting for him. Saike attack it from behind but the cloaked figure manages to ward him off with its tail.

"Katari!"

"Knight, how have you been?" said the figure as it reveals itself. The figure is a lizard like creature wearing ancient armor.

"Where’s Curse?!"

"Why do you always ask for Curse these days?"

"Tell me now."

"Is that so? Fine, how about a deal?"

"I’m in no mood to make a deal with you."

"Hey, you want to know where he is or not." Saike became quiet and listen to what Katari have to say.

"I’m trying to find a shapeless like myself but it seems like it got away from me when I thought that you’re an intruder."

"How different do I look to you?"

"Well, your hair is longer then."

"Hm, that’s true. So where is this Shapeless?"

"She ran into a warehouse. If you get her head then I shall reward you with Curse’s ware bouts."

"Fine, stay here and I shall give you the head."

"Then it is done."

Saike rode his motorcycle to the warehouse and stops in front of the door. He opens it and immediately a claw reach for him and throws him across the room. Saike quickly gets up and calls, "Ryu." His katana appears in his hand and he gets ready. He couldn’t see anything, only the barrels that stood silently.

"Ninjitsu art of falcon’s eye," and he sees a large fiend breathing over him with green eyes and feather wings. Its head looks like an armored dragon with no arms but two legs. It attacks him with a poison but he dodges and runs around the beast, preparing his blade. He focuses his energy and shoots a shockwave from his sword but it simply dodges and circles around him, creating a tornado. Saike hurl helplessly in the tornado as the dragon like creature attacks him. "Cobra," he calls out and his katana is immediately transformed into grappling hook with chains. He pulls out a scroll and shouts, "Ninjitsu art of guidance." In a flash, the grapple hook flies off and stabs the wall. The chain then acts like a snake and pulls Saike out of the deadly tornado. He perches on the wall, defying gravity, concentrating on using his falcon’s eye Ninjitsu.

"All right, where are you?" he whisper to himself. His eyes looks through the tornado and hurls his grappling hook at the confuse creature.

"Ninjitsu art of shadow bind," he yells and the grappling hook works its way around the creature and ties it up, protected by the magic. In an instant, the monster drops from the sky and lands on the floor. He goes down to the monster and transforms his grapple hook back into his katana. The dragon creature’s body begins to deform and it transform into a helpless woman.

"You have to do better than that, Shapeless," Saike tells her.

"But this is my real form."

"Your real form? Don’t try to trick me into thinking that you’re a helpless lady."

"But it is true, this is my real form. I’m the Angel Shapeless."

"Don’t think that I wouldn’t kill you just because you’re an Angel Shapeless." He raises his blade but hesitates and looks at her. She didn’t react to his lifted blade and is very confuse because a Shapeless instinct is to survive at all cost but this one is not doing anything to stop him.

"Do as you wish knight, strike me now and I wouldn’t regret it for this world is cruel enough for me anyway." The knight stood there motionless but finally lowers his blade. He turns his back to the Shapeless and stood silently.

"Go," he said after a while, "Get out of here now while you can."

"What!? You’re really going to let me go, even though I’m a shapeless?"

"Go now while my back is turn," he commanded, "If you’re still there by the time I turn back, I’ll have to kill you." The Shapeless stood up and looks at him.

"You’re the first kind person I have met in my life, thank you."

WHOOSH!

Saike hears the sound and carry her out of the way. He looks back and sees an axe struck the floor. He looks up and sees Katari with more axes in hand.

"You broke the deal knight, now you are going to suffer the consequences." He throws another axe but they both scatter out of the way. The girl change back into her dragon form and Saike prepares his blade. Another axe comes from another direction and Saike turn see another Katari wielding an axe.

"Shadow clones," he said to himself and throws a ninja star at the clone but it dodges and hides itself in the shadows. Saike climbs on the dragon to get a better view of the scene. He spotted ten of Katari’s shadow clones and takes out a scroll. Just then, something caught his attention and sees a spider like creature climbing up the wall.

"Curse!" he said angrily and instantly uses the scroll, yelling, "Ninjitsu art of grasshopper jump," and he instantly jumps 100 feet vertical toward Curse with his blade ready.

"Are you that desperate? You must have been begging for an early grave," Curse said as he shots out some webs from its tail. The web wrapped around him but the dragon instantly releases him with its sharp talons.

"Sera, you’re willing to betray all the shapeless in the world?"

"If it means to get rid of such tyrant leader, then I will." She shoots out a white beam from her mouth but Curse easily dodges it. An ax flew towards her but Saike blocks it with its blade and cut the shadow clone in half. Curse spits out poison towards him but he dodges it and it hit one of Katari’s shadow clones. Sera was charging another beam and…

SLASH! Sera stops charging and turn back to its original form. Saike catches her in midair and takes out a scroll.

"Ninjitsu art of teleportation," and in an instant they both disappear in midair.

"Where are they?" Karari questioned.

"They can’t be far from here. Let’s go find them."

In the woods nearby, the winds gracefully glide across the trees. Then the winds started to gather around making a mini-tornado and the form of Saike and Sera started to appear. Saike puts her down on the ground and look at her wound. He took out a scroll but Sera stops him by grabbing his hand.

"You can do nothing now knight."

"I could if you would let me…"

"No, you have done enough. I know what you’re trying to do but I know that even it you were to heal me completely I would die anyway."

"Why is that?"

"I…I’ve been inflicted by an unknown disease. As I speak, the virus carrying through my blood will eats me from inside and out. I don’t want to die like this so I want you to do something for me." The knight looks at her for a moment but finally spoke up, "What do you want me to do?"

"I want you to look after a daughter of mine. She’s also an angel shapeless like me, very beautiful and bright. She has brown hair with hazel eyes and her skin is pale as the moon. If you were to meet her, please protect her from any harm."

"I can’t do that or it’ll ruin my reputation of being a Knight Ninja."

"Please, do it for me. She is only ten for god’s sake. Please, I don’t want her to die. Please promise me." Saike looks at himself for a while. Then a light glimmer through his helmet and he turns to her with an answer.

"I promise." Tears fill Sera’s eyes and she grabs Saike’s blade and pierce it into her own heart. Saike couldn’t stop it for it gone by in a flash. Sera fall down on the ground and whispers, "Thank you."

"Why did you do this?" He said with concern.

"I do this so you can obtain a powerful ninjitsu technique that other knights can never get. This is the return gift I’ll give you in exchange for your kindness." Saike looks around him as the Shapeless’ body turns into a white wave of energy and circles around him.

"Good bye knight, I will always remember you," and her whole body became a white energy wave circling around him. His body begins to absorb the energy completely and he stands there alone. Curse and Katari came from behind him, not knowing what had just happen.

"There you are knight!" Katari shouted, "Where’s that Worthless Shapeless, Sera?" Saike looks back to meet his eyes and Curse could see mad eyes looking through his helmet. Saike held up the scroll he was holding and yelled, "Ninjitsu art of recovering skill." His body instantly feels strength and he knew he had all his techniques back.

"Last stand, Knight," Curse said, laughing maniacally, "You’re too weak to fight an elite like me."

"Want to try?"

"Cut the talking and get on the fighting," Katari said frustrated and he leap toward Saike with his axe in hand but he just simply kicks him toward a tree.

"You’re worthless in your lizard form, Katari," Saike said in a calm voice. Katari just laugh and change his form into a hideous mummy like creature with wings. His left arm is short while his right arm is long as his fingernails touch the dirt. He smiles revealing his rotten teeth and his right eyelid open, revealing his red eyeball. His left eye is bandage with ribbons and his body in thin almost like a twig.

"You force me knight," he said as his rotten breath dance out of his mouth, "you’ll never win now, hah!" Katari opens his wings and his body begins to divide into shadow clones. Saike throws three ninja stars but only one hit one of his clones as the others dodges. Curse charges at him, changing into a birdlike creature in the process. Saike steps aside and kicks Curse’s back. Curse flew and hit one of Katari’s shadow clones. Saike took out a scroll and yell, "Ninjitsu art of grasshopper jump," and he back flipped, letting the axe go under him. Curse sees this and flies out of the way while the axe impale Katari’s shadow cone. He did many back flips until he perch on a tree and throws three more ninja stars at Curse which he easily avoids it. Then something grabbed his neck and Katari started to swing him in a circle and release him in midair. Curse tackles him five times in midair before he hit the ground. He struggles to get up but one of Katari’s shadow clones throws him toward a tree while the real Katari throws an axe at him. Saike hits the tree and block the axe from hitting him. Curse grabs his shoulders with his sharp talon and flew up in the air. Curse came back down and releases Saike at an incredible speed of 80 mph in which he hits the earth, creating a shockwave. Curse join up with Katari and his shadow clones, watching Saike lay on the earth, lifeless.

"He’s dead for sure," but Katari let out a breath of disappointment as he sees Saike struggling to get up, using his blade for support.

"Not dead yet, huh. You must be a lucky fellow for none of the past knights survive that attack." Katari watch him struggling to get up and order his shadow clones to surround him. They did as they were told and surrounded him, preparing their axe.

"I refuse to go out like this," he said to himself. Then there was a pain on the side of his head.

Flashbacks of the dying Sera and his past appear before his eyes and he hears their voices within his ears, "I want you to look after a daughter of mine,"-"If anything happen to me Saike, I want you to take care of Jack,"- " Please promise me,"-"Promise me, Saike,"- "Please, I don’t want her to die,"-"I don’t want anything to happen to Jack,"-"A powerful ninjitsu technique that other knights can never get,"-"Daddy, you’re the bravest dad of all,"-" This is the return gift I’ll give you in exchange for your kindness,"-"Daddy, you’re the best present I have for Christmas,"-" Good bye knight, I will always remember you,"-"Daddy."

Saike recover from the flashbacks and looks at Katari’s shadow clones that are getting ready with their axes.

"I can never give up," he said to himself, "I cannot fail Sera and I cannot fail, my son." He took out a scroll of pure white and opens it. The same white energy that he absorbs earlier leap out of the scroll and started to circle around him.

"Ninjitsu art of Angelic transformation," and the soon, he begins to absorb the energy again and a blinding white light emitted form his armor. Curse, Katari and his shadow covers their eyes as his transformation begin.
