One mistake that so many people make is not focusing on the amount of weight they are lifting. Instead they will focus on the specific exercise they are performing, making sure it is the 'right' one.
The fact of the matter is that it's not the exercise that's going to help you progress, it's the fact that you're able to increasingly lift more weight.
So, if you feel like you can't lift very heavy on squats, don't squat. Leg press instead. Choose whatever exercise you are comfortable with that will let you lift heavier - that's the key to seeing results.
Avoid Supersets - Do Straight Sets With Rest
Next, you should also avoid doing supersets. While these can be good for fat burning, they aren't going to do much to help you build bigger legs.
