Now, let us start with an exercise for thighs, which form the upper most part of our body. The best exercise to strengthen and tone up thigh muscles is squats. Squats are beneficial for calf muscles as well! Stand erect, with hands at the side. Now slowly lower your body weight by bending your knees. Lower your knees, only till you feel sufficient pressure in your thighs. Hold the position for a couple of seconds and then slowly raise to come to the original position. Repeat for about 10 - 12 times.

Here is an effective exercises to strengthen the knee muscles. Take a chair and sit on it in an erect position. See that you keep your back straight during the entire exercise. Now, slowly raise your legs till a position, where they become parallel to the floor. Maintain this position for a couple of seconds and then slowly lower your legs to regain the original position. Here's a simple exercise to prevent such a pain. Stand straight and lift your left leg, with knee bent at 90 degrees. Now, rotate your foot clockwise and anticlockwise to feel a stretch in the ankle. Do this exercises for a few minutes with both the legs.

Toes are the lowermost part of our legs. Toe curls is a good exercise to strengthen the toe muscles and minimize the chances of plantar facsiitis. To perform toe curls, pull your toes down to make a toe fist. Hold the position for a couple of seconds and then repeat with the other leg. 10 - 12 repetitions everyday with both feet would suffice.
While doing leg exercises without weights, it must be remembered that you neither under stretch nor overstretch any of your leg muscles. If you find it difficult to do any of these leg exercises at home, you should stop doing the exercises. Consult a physical trainer in this regard and come up with other alternative exercises.
