Left in the Darkness
She wants to scream and let it all go.
Left in the darkness
To cry all alone
She wants to scream
And let it all go
But instead all night
She will fight for control
Gets up in the morning worn and tired to the bone
Wondering if this will ever end
Plasters on her face a smile
Thinks to herself
It's only for a while
Goes through the day like any other
Without complaint waiting for the pain to get better
Goes through the halls of her school in a daze
Gets home and finally lets her anger go, like a blaze
She fights with her mother
And punches her brother
Gets kicked out of her home
Has nowhere to go
Searches the streets all night
For a place to sleep
Finally finds the light
In an old motherly woman
Who will take her in with all of her faults
Now she no longer has to fight for control
She no longer wants to scream and let it all go
She is no longer left in the darkness
To cry all alone.
To cry all alone
She wants to scream
And let it all go
But instead all night
She will fight for control
Gets up in the morning worn and tired to the bone
Wondering if this will ever end
Plasters on her face a smile
Thinks to herself
