Lee, That's Me! - Chapters 25 and 26
A special thanks to Bailey A, Becky, Ellee C, and Kiara H! Your comments are what kept me going! These two chapters are all really thanks to you! Oh - and this is what the readers' votes wanted. Enjoy!
Previously: I picked myself up and held onto my knee that was bleeding in a tremendous pace. Bethany was too fast. It was so unfair! I couldn't run properly in my condition. So obviously anyone could easily capture me. You'd expect her to feel sorry for me, like Robo Lee, but she's not! Not one bit. It also didn't help that she was a better runner than me.
Ignoring Mum and Dad's protests, Bethany pulled me by the collar. She raised her weapon of death and...
"What the heck is going on...?" Said a familiar voice by my side.

Chapter 25: Is this a dream?
I turned my head slightly to the left and, once again, everything went back to being alright. Or maybe I had just calmed down. Why? Because it was my favorite cousin, Leo!
Leo's the same age as me, 11, except his, a few months older. His natural hair was blonde but he dyed it blue. I know right? How cool! And I was the one who recommended it! You would not believe how HAPPY I was that day. Well, up to the point until Mum yelled at me. I don't get it! What had I done that been so wrong that day?
His hair is extremely better than before, but what I really love about him are his eyes. They are a natural gray-ish blue type.
Leo stood there, holding onto his skateboard, looking confused.
"Move. Don't get too close." Bethany warned him. Leo obviously doesn't take orders from anyone. Not even from his Mum, my Aunt Cathy. How I adore him!
He calmly snatched the zapper off her hands and threw it into the distant.
"Leo!" I exclaimed, but not angrily. "You could have hurt someone."
"Too late now." Leo said, chuckling.
If he hadn't saved my life, I would have slapped him. But then again, I couldn't. Not to Leo. Never! Leo chuckled even more. For a moment, I had thought he was laughing at how gentle I was being with him but then I clicked.
It was Robo Lee. He skated over to her, ignoring Bethany's constant curses. "Two Lees!" He said, grinning widely, and then he added, "Yay!"
I smiled a toothy smile. I couldn't help it! I was just so glad that there were at least some people out there who didn't mind having two versions of me.
Meanwhile, Mum was growing wider with panic. Tears were streaming down the side of her face in a rapid pace. It was heartbreaking, yet cool to watch at the same time. I think I finally came to the conclusion that Mum actually does have a talent after all! She's ACE at crying! No one can top her!
"It'll be OK," Dad assured her. His head snapped to the right. His cheek had gone extreme red, and you could see the outline of a printed hand.
"What's your name?" Asked Robo Lee, looking at Leo with interest on her face. For some reason, it seemed a bit more than that. Leo ignored Robo Lee's question (I didn't think he mean to) and said in a little bouncy beat,
'Tears of worry,
Tension growing,
Suspense building,
Mother frowning.
She falls down,
Onto the ground,
And out comes,
Big Daddy!
He says,
'It'll be OK'
But - OUCH!
He just got,
Slapped in the
FACE!'
I laughed and applauded him. Leo has always been like that. He has always been the one making ME laugh. Not the other way round. He still does! And it's just not me, anymore. Robo Lee laughed too. Leo grabbed me by the wrist and gave me a gentle kiss on the cheek.
"What was that for?" I asked, grinning. I didn't know what I had done to deserve this. If anything, I should be giving him a kiss on the cheek!
"I forgot to say Hi." He said, sounding quite upset. I kissed him back on the cheek, assuring him it's OK. Ohh! How I love him to bits! He's always considerate about my feelings. No one else - apart from Grandma, ever is.
Leo unexpectedly gave Robo Lee a kiss on the cheek too. I couldn't help but dislike what he had done. Robo Lee doesn't deserve this! She doesn't deserve anything! Not for what she had put me through.
Robo Lee's pink eyes startled me, causing me to fall on the floor. I winced in pain. Leo gave me his hand and I accepted it. Carefully he picked me up.
"Enjoy." Leo whispered into my ear, laughing as he always does. His warm breath tickled my ear. I giggled a little.
Then it happened almost instantly. Water balloons were flying everywhere. Mum screamed and tried to shield herself with both her hands. Dad shouted at the top of his voice, for this to stop. Bethany shrieked, complaining about how she was getting wet all over again. Grandma was laughing insanely, her mood brightened up. Leo roared with laughter, pointing his finger at everyone else. Me? I ran right into the middle, where most of the water balloons were being chucked and tried to get caught. It's so refreshing! Obviously it would be, if it were boiling hot outside. Right?
Time really does fly by when you're having fun!
The water balloons stopped coming and the whole place was left dripping wet. Dad moaned. The only person that was as dry as ever, was Steve. He walked in, holding onto the last water balloon.
"Steve!" I said, smiling. I guess after all this; I've come to being OK with Steve. Steve nodded his head a little and smiled back. I'm glad we're OK. I wonder what made him stop hating me. Oh well, I'll find out later, like I always do.
Bethany screamed. We all turned to see her pointing at Robo Lee, who was melting all over. Grandma punched the air and said, "I knew it! I knew she was the fake!"
"You knew?" Mum snapped, glaring at her. Oh no - not this again. Luckily, for me... Or maybe not so lucky, but at the time when Bethany screamed, yet again, and everyone's attention was on her, I was relieved.
Her fingers were still pointed to where Robo Lee was. Except it was really difficult to see Robo Lee, what with all the black smoke and everything! I could just make out a faint outline of her body. Eventually I couldn't see that anymore. The place began to get really foggy and misty. I don't know what happened much, but the last I remember was; me coughing insanely. The smoke was toxic! It was suffocating me! My throat was burning up dangerously and I felt my lungs tightening. Tears of agony were springing to my eyes.
"Where's Lee?!" Everyone kept screaming but they sounded really distant. I felt my body being carried away. It was like a hazy dream...

Chapter 26: Face to face
I opened my eyes and jumped a little on my hard seat. The two large angry eyes startled me. My body felt stiff, on purpose. The angry eyes moved back, revealing their face and body. It was... a guy I had never seen in my life!
I tried to make myself comfortable as my bum was aching. Poor bum had been through a lot. This is only making matters worse! But of course, no one can get comfortable. Not if they're firmly tied onto a chair. Honestly! What's up with that? Maybe, we're going to play a game! But then again... I really doubt it'll be much fun.
How I miss those water balloons!
Not only could I not move properly, but it was boiling in here!
"Lee." The deep voice said.
That voice...Sounds so awfully familiar. I analyzed his black spiked hair, his dark gray eyes giving him the impression of one of those evil powerful alien guys. He also had a bad attack of freckles everywhere. Personally, I think he looked a little too unique. And I think this is the first time I'll say this, hopefully the last, but... I don't like this unique edge very much.
**********************************FLASHBACK**********************************
"Who is he?" She asks, a little bit on the fed-up side.
"Err, I dunno his name. He's got black hair and..." I paused, struggling for details.
I didn't have much to say as she took over.
"Does he have gray eyes and a dark jacket on? Oh, and cute freckles? Did you see his tattoo? Y'know, the Bethany tattoo on his arm? Did he show you? Is it cool? Do you like it?"
*******************************************************************************
"Stephen?" I asked. I had no intention of screaming his name, but I guess I got over excited. Now, it was his time to jump. Except he could jump as high and freely as he wanted! I hope if this is a game, then we don't get assessed on our jumping. Because I am going to lose! Even if I wasn't tied up!
"How do you know my name...?" He asked, his voice trailing off. He stared at me, bewildered and amused at the same time. Is that even possible? Boy, he really is skilled.
"Well..." I began, "It all started with me getting excluded. I was told to go upstairs, and I, innocently, looked at Bethany-"
"Never mind," he said cutting me off. Rude! I don't interrupt him, and yet he's doing it to me! I pretended not to hear that.
"Obviously, there's no harm in looking at people. Look! I'm looking at you right now. Nothing wrong with that -"
"I said never mind." He repeated through gritted teeth. Pfft! (I like that sound. I should use it more often!) He'll have to listen whether he likes it or not.
"And Bethany wanted to know what I was looking at -"
"Shut it, brat." He growled. Again, rude! And again, I pretend to not hear.
"I truthfully answered that I was looking at her chest."
"- SHUT IT! Wait. What? You did what?" He asked, finally taking interest. The corner of his lips lifted up. For some reason, I had gone off the idea of telling him. Maybe it was because of how he was acting. It was definitely not pleasant, - or comfortable.
He shook his head, as if snapping back into reality. I waited for the game to begin. Alas, it's not meant to be. Yet.
"Nah forgets it," He murmured and then said, "Let's just get this over with."
"Yes, we shall." I nodded my head. It's time to get whatever he was on about over with. Maybe, he'll leave me alone then, I thought.
"Good." Stephen said, "So, go on."
I stared at the empty room while silence invaded. Hmm, I thought, this room really needs furniture - and some air freshener too. I noticed that there was just one door. Maybe that's the exit and in door. I tried to spot more doors, or windows. There was no sign of any!
"Give it to me then!" Stephen demanded, his hands shaking with impatience. Urrgh... The stench is getting stronger. Pull it together, Lee!
Well, at least the awkward silence was gone. But now I'm left with an awkward and confusing situation.
"Give what?" I asked, curious. Do I have something that belongs to him? I don't think so. But then again, maybe I do. Or maybe I don't. OR maybe he wants one of MY things? Pfft! Just... Pfft!
"Don't mess about." He said in a cold voice, "Give it to me. Now."
"Look guy," I said, rolling my eyes, "You can't get it. It's mine!"
Stephen growled angrily. His fists were shaking rather violently. I tried to cheer him up,
"Peek-a-boo!" I suggested. It always cheered me up. Grandma always played it with me! She really DID disappear! All she had to do is cover her face with her hands... And then she's gone! She doesn't even cast spells! How cool is that?
Stephen's body was shaking even more. He's face was turning crimson.
"Is it cold?' I asked, and then laughed.
"What's so funny?" snapped Stephen, glaring at me.
"Well - it's boiling in here! And you find it very cold. Gosh! You're a weird Stephen!"
"Look, you bi-"
"-What is it like when it's ACTUALLY cold? Do you find it extremely warm?"
"No! What the h-"
"-BOILING?" I suggested. I had to know! Things have only just got interesting. Finally! And I can understand why he liked interrupting. It was so much fun!
"I guess I'm going to have to do this the hard w-"
"-The temperature of a volcano?" I interrupted, yet again. OK, this was fun and all but I am really serious! Does he find the cold, warm? The warm, cold? Does he have to do the opposite calculation for the weather forecast? Say if it's sunny outside, he knows he has to wear his winter jacket? And if it's cold he has to wear suncr-
His cold, very cold hands, were wrapped around my neck. I knew it! He was cold all along!
