Lee and Little Charlie's Fairy Tale - Chapters 7 and 8
Lee's help has finally paid off! She managed to do something right. Except...
Chapter 7: You Poor Thing!
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the evilest of them all?" Asked the screeching voice.
I instantly knew who this was, and never had I thought I would ever meet her. It was... Plump! She sat in a high, royal chair. The whole place was blinding gold, the floors, the chairs, the windows, the ceiling. Everything! It would be amazing to stare at... That is it if didn't hurt your eyes so much.
Little Charlie's poor eyes couldn't take in the bright, startling light. He buried his face in my chest. I stroked his soft fiery hair, assuring him that we'll get out of here soon.
"Lee and Charlie, they are the two,
They don't even know what they do,
Here me when I say it's true,
They are way more evil than you!" Replied a DEEP manly voice.
What?! Little Charlie raised his head and gave me a confused look. I was bewildered; who did this mirror think he was? OK, maybe some people think I'm mean, dunno why, but the mirror?! He doesn't even know me! And to mention Little Charlie too! AND to say we're evil?
Looks like we're not the only ones outraged. Plump slammed her golden desk, causing paper to fly everywhere. In some ways, this place reminded me of Plump's class.
"Mirror, mirror, quit your lies, tell me how, or you shall die!" Demanded Plump, her face boiling with anger.
I think that's a little too harsh, even if the mirror is being extremely rude. However I must say, it's really flattering having someone on your side. I rarely do, it's just the same people. For once, Plump is on our side, backing us up. Now that's something!
"Lee and Charlie, they are the ones,
Their silly damages cannot be undone,
The legendary myth Happily Ever After,
They have put a stop altogether!" Snapped the mirror.
WHAT! No... NO! We did so NOT. I felt my chest burning with rage; it was so hot and unbearable! The temperature was rising higher and higher...
"Mirror, mirror, tell me where they are, are they near, or are they far?"
...OK, now my chest is slightly hurting me a little... A-a LOT! I pulled Little Charlie away and stared at him hard. I sniffed him and - oh no! He stank of melting plastic. How I know what that smells like? Long story short, Mia and I wanted to see what plastic would look like if we were to melt it. We couldn't even finish off our experiment because Mia's dad came in and spotted us. We got told off and I got sent home. It was a great shame because we couldn't even have a proper sleepover.
"Let's get out of here," I whispered, holding Little Charlie protectively. We seriously need to find something cold to calm him down.
"Lee and Charlie, they are around the corner,
Clutching tightly onto each other,
Lee whispered; let's get out of here,
Go and get them, my ugly dear."
Uh-oh! Plump stood up, and her tiny but fast legs started moving in extreme speed. Oh n-OW! Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch! I ran through the massive double door, ouch, ouch, ouch! Outside-yes! And a fountain-Yaaoww!
Quickly, I dipped Little Charlie into the splendid water.
Ahh... Bliss! The sizzling sound startled me. I tried to focus my vision properly, as smoke was escaping everywhere.
"Princess, come back! Remember your promise!" Said a high, boy's voice. Hmm... He sounded really familiar!
Eventually everything calmed down, and Little Charlie was, once again, cozy enough to hug. Maybe not much, as he was dripping wet. But, oh well! Anything's better than holding onto fire.
OK, maybe I'm over-exaggerating. I mean, c'mon! My hands would be burnt to death right now!
Little Charlie pointed to the green grass.
"Yes, the grass is nice." I agreed. Little Charlie shook his head and pointed at the grass urgently. "What? Is something in the grass?" I asked, confused. Little Charlie nodded and wriggled away from me. He started jumping up and down in a frog-manner.
"Oh! Oh! I know!" I said, waving my hands about eagerly, "A frog." I said proudly. Little Charlie gave me a thumbs up. Yes! "Where?" I made my very own binoculars with my hands and started to scan the green grass. I noticed the little crown first, then the frog. Ohh! It's a frog that's a prince... Hmm, what story was that again? A frog that's a prince...A frog that's a p-
"The Frog Prince!" I announced, feeling extremely proud of myself. Little Charlie gave me another thumbs up. Wow, I am on fire! OK, maybe Little Charlie had a better chance of being on fire than me. But still!
I walked to the Frog Prince that was jumping about frantically. He caught me looking and stayed very still.
"Please don't stamp on me!" He begged. Why on earth would I do such a thing? I exchanged looks with Little Charlie. Frog Prince was shaking terribly. Poor frog! I know his story off by heart. A princess was playing with her golden ball, her favorite plaything, and then it fell in the fountain. Frog Prince offered to get it for her but in return he wanted a simple kiss. It seemed fair enough, and she agreed. Then he retrieved the ball back, which obviously wasn't so easy for a frog! And when the princess got it back, she just selfishly ran away with the ball!
"Come on," I said gently while scooping Frog Prince into my hands. I felt positive of restoring him back as a prince, but... One BIG problem; I didn't know what to do next! I gave Little Charlie a helpless glance, and he brushed the air with his lips. Ahh, I get it!
I pulled the frog closer to me, and got ready to give him a big k- OW! I turned to Little Charlie, who gave me a pitying look.
"Why did you pinch me on the leg for?" I asked, upset. Little Charlie pointed to the princess that was still running. She was in the distant, but we easily caught up. I can't understand why Frog Prince couldn't keep up. Of course he had small legs, but he can jump really high and far! But then again, it does take a lot of effort.
I grabbed the princess by the shoulder and turned her around. What. The. Fudge.
"Mia?!" I exclaimed. First Plump, now Mia! Whoa, what kind of fairy tale is this? I don't remember Mia in any stories, or Plump come to think of it.
The princess seemed just as confused as me, "Who is Mia?" She asked.
"You!" I found myself yelling. She moved back in surprise. I noticed that she clutched onto her ball even tighter.
"No... I'm Princess Amelia."
"No, you're not!"
"Yes I am!" She protested, but then her gaze focused onto Little Charlie. "Aww!" She cooed. "You're so adorable! Do you want to play?" She looked at me pleadingly, "Please, can he play with me and my ball?"
At least she had the decency to ask.
Strange, I thought, she likes Little Charlie so much; she's willing to let him play with her ball! I guess some things never change. Oh? Have I not mentioned? Mia's crazy about Little Charlie! She's always begging Bethany if she could hold him or play with him or even bath him.
"I love him so much! He's so cute!" Mia trilled and then surprisingly announced, "I'm going to have TEN babies!"
"Yes, you can play with him, but-" I said, moving Little Charlie away from her reach, "We must get down to business first."
"What b-"
I forced Frog Prince's mouth against hers, not allowing her to finish her sentence. Little did I know, that was our second BAD mistake...

Chapter 8: The Right Thing, Wrong Time!
Except... Things don't go according to plan!

"Steve?" I whined. I don't know why but I'm pretty disappointed. The Frog Prince is STEVE? What's up with that? I mean, I thought it would be someone extraordinary. Or maybe someone who could at least jump well!
"Yes, it is I, Prince Stevie." He said bowing. Then he took my hand and leaned in for it. I instantly snatched it away.
"Stevie?" I echoed, "Why would you call yourself that?" Honestly! It sounds like a girl's name. I have to admit, I'm not that much surprised. I always suspected something with Steve and girls.
Steve-ee bent down on one knee. Huh? Why would he be doing that for? Little Charlie sniggered. I mouthed, "What?" But before Little Charlie could answer, Plump entered the scene.
"Hah! I got you now, you little brats!" She barked, her hands wide open while she charged towards us. Why do they always do that for? First the wolf and then Plump! Maybe it's a popular catching technique they do around here?
"Will you m-"
"RUN!" I shouted. I legged it with Steve beside me. We ran all the way, until we eventually stopped by a gray-stoned palace.
I don't know how it occurred but it happened so quickly, I didn't even get a chance to see. I found myself constantly being dabbed with makeup and powder. Many maids and servants were surrounded around me. They were busy pushing past each other, adding something different onto me. It felt awkward. This is my second time wearing makeup right now. I hope it's not so dark as my first attempt with makeup! I still remember the day when I thought Courtney was a robotic Gothic version of Bethany...
"What's going on?" I demanded. I realized I had to be quite harsh to find my answer. Finally one maid paused what she was doing, and said, "We're fixing you up for the wedding."
"Who's wedding is it?" I asked. I so hoped it was Rapunzel's wedding! Or Cinderella's! Or Snow... No, she can't have one. A thought struck me, was it true what the mirror had said? Legend says that the mirror never lies. Then, if that's the case, does that really mean I am evil...?
"Yours and the prince's, of course." The maid answered. What? What on earth did she mean?
"The Prince?"
"Yes, Prince Stevie and you."
"What about me and Steve?"
"Your wedding!"
"MY wedding?"
"Yes."
"Who am I getting married to?"
"The Prince, of course!!"
"WHAT?!"
Oh no... I'm getting married to Frog Prince? I mean Steve? Err- Prince Steve? Ugh - Prince STEVE-EE?
Wait - Hang on! I've just realized... Where's Little Charlie?!
My ugly dear.. Plump's NOT ugly!

Just a quick note to say, I hope you're enjoying this story! If so, then please take the time to comment. I really don't know if people honestly want me to carry on... I'm not getting as much views or comments as I wanted, which pretty much is disappointing.
So I really need at least 5 comments to continue with the next chapter. Please and thanks. Oh and should there be a series 3? Please vote!
