Learning, Love, Loss... For Alyssa Stivers
This is a poem for Alyssa Stivers ... who lost someone she loved . I don't know her .. but I know what she's going through , it's hard losing someone you love .
Yes, he’s gone,
Yes, it’s hard,
No, you can’t see him,
Can’t send him a postcard.
But from heaven,
He’ll be watching over you,
Making sure you’re safe,
Until the day you join him too.
He may be gone from the world,
But not from your heart,
You’ll never forget him,
But you can’t let it tear you apart.
People say ‘time heals all wounds’,
But this won’t heal overnight,
It doesn’t get easier,
You just learn to balance it right.
You know,
You aren’t the only one,
Everyone will go through it,
It’s a cycle that’s never done.
Just remember -
No matter what you go through,
You’re never alone,
You’ll always have your angel with you.
