Learn to Draw Graffiti Letters
There are many different ways of drawing graffiti letters and you to have to try all the methods to find something that works for you. The best way to learn graffiti letters is to give the colors and markers a rest and just try drawing with a pencil first. Take a sheet of paper with a dark pencil and an eraser for your first attempt in learning the graffiti letters. The best method to learn graffiti letters, that I would suggest you try, is the box or cube method.
In the box method you simply have to write any letter, say the letter "N" and write in on the paper as you normally do. Try to keep the letter a bit big so that you can get a good idea of what you are doing. Next draw another "N" over the first letter in such a way that it overlaps the first "N" and it is offset by a small distance. Now connect both the "N" together by drawing thin lines. This will make the "N" like a 3 dimensional letter. Once this is done you can draw graffiti of all the other letters. To make the graffiti look softer, you can draw the letters in such a way that there are more curves to it. Instead of keeping the lines of the letters such as "A", "D", "H" and "W" straight, just give it a bit of curve. This will make your graffiti letters more attractive.
For alphabets that have curves like "S", "C", "G" and "O", it is easier to draw them into graffiti letters. Once you have learned the graffiti letters, try writing a word in graffiti. For this you need to draw two faint lines that are parallel to each other and then draw the letters inside them. Try to keep the rounded and the edges of the letters blurred. Remember while curving the letters, you need to keep the basic structure of the alphabets distinct so that it can be read easily. While writing a word, connect each letter with quick pencil strokes. The connecting lines should merge gracefully into the alphabets and should leave no hard edges. If you are not going to color the alphabets, then it is a good idea to shade the graffiti letters for a uniform and attractive look.
Once you are skilled at the art of drawing graffiti letters by using pencil and eraser, you can start coloring them. Markers, color pencils and even watercolors can be used for coloring the graffiti letters. For a very neat and attractive look, you can even try spray painting the letters in colors of your choice. There are many styles of graffiti writing that you can try. Now that you have learned to draw graffiti letters, you can create your own invitation cards and stationery heads for a unique and fun look.
