It is well said that a team is recognized by the qualities and skills that are associated with its leader. So it can be considered that if a leader is not performing up to the mark, the team will obviously not give out their best as well. In order for a process to be fruitful, it is very important that it is given under charge to an effective leader who has all the required skills. A team working under a good leader will always perform the best and set an example for members from other company practices.

Communication Skills
Since the person in a leadership role is the one who is a link between the top management, team members, and other employees in a company; effective workplace communication skills are undoubtedly the most essential qualities that has to be present in a leader.

Listening and Feedback Skills
A leader is not only supposed to give orders and carry out the work, but also has to participate in listening to team members regarding any suggestions that would lead to the betterment of the project being worked upon.

In order to reach a goal, a leader has to be adept in strategic planning and execution. He has to understand the project prerequisites, prepare a master plan, allocate the resources, and then make sure that the plans are executed properly.

In team leadership, a leader has to be slow to anger and have patience, regarding the work of the employees. An angry and aggressive leader can in no way become a good leader. In addition, he also should have the appropriate correction techniques, to point out and rectify mistakes made by team members.

These are just a few necessary leadership qualities and skills that are to be possessed by a leader. It can be concluded that to get the project work done; a leader has to motivate employees, guide them, plan strategically, receive employee feedback, implement the strategy, and then reach the goal.
