Layla and Cole - Tester
This is a tester to see if I should carry on writing. Comment please!

Everyone in my family is good at everything, but we each have a strong point. Mine is music, Chase's is writing, Eli's is drawing, Conner's is fixing things, Xander's is sports and Dad's is working. At school, I never do anything. I'm not dumb, I do really well in exams and stuff, but I just can't be bothered to do schoolwork. I never get homework; the teachers know I won't do it. I also get suspended a lot. I somehow always seem to get into fights. But anyway. I have to best friends, Faith Webb and Blake Sawyer. We do everything together, always have and always will. Sorry, I'm blabbing. Ok, my story begins on a Monday morning.
"Layla! Get up, now!" Xander yells. I groan, and roll over in my bed. "Either get up or I'll set Chase on you!" I open my eyes, and jump out of bed. "I'm up." I yell, I'll do anything to make sure Chase doesn't wake me up. He dunks me in a freezing bath. So not fun. I go into my bathroom, one of the privileges of being the only girl, and have a shower. After I've had my shower, I get dressed in some skinnies, a black camisole, a black Abercrombie hoodie and some combat boots. I head downstairs, after banging on Conner's door. I have a pancake, grab my bag and go to the bus stop. Me, Chase and Eli catch the bus, but I get there early so me, Faith and Blake can talk. When the bus comes, we all go to our usual seats at the back. The day goes quickly, and soon it's lunch. Since me and Faith had French together, we meet Blake, Chase and Eli at the canteen.
"Hey Layla, who's that new kid?" Faith asks, nodding at the kid sitting in my seat, on our table next to the window overlooking the school fields. He's looking out the window, listening to his iPod. He's hot, black hair, blue eyes, buff and from the looks of it, tall.
"Um, that's my seat." I tell him. Chase and Eli back me up. He looks up, and stares at me.
"I didn't know there was a seating plan for the canteen." He says, smiling. I glare at him.
"Well, there is. And that's my seat. So move, now."
"Why don't you sit next to me?"
"Because that's where Faith sits, and then Blake, and then Chase, and then Eli. Notice how you're not in the equation."
"That's because you don't know me. I'm Cole Reeves." He extends his hand.
"Well, Cole Reeves, either move, or I'll make you." Cole laughs, thinking I'm joking. I raise my fist, but Eli stops me.
"Layla, don't. Not here." He says. Cole cocks an eyebrow and smirks, and that sets me off. I hit, punch, kick and scream at Cole. Eli tries to pry me off him, but I refuse to let go. A whistle to my left makes me pause; long enough for Coach Cummings to pull me off Cole, and take me to the other side of the canteen. I wriggle, kick and hit Coach, trying to get free.
"Miss Soto! What the hell do you think you were doing?" Principal Lane yells. "Alright, everyone. Out, now!" The crowd scatters, leaving me, still in Coach's grip, Cole, who's lying on the floor, Eli, Chase, Faith and Blake behind. "Now, what happened?!" Principal Lane demands.
"It was her fault, she just attacked me!" Cole wheezes. "I sat down here, and her and her little posse came up and said I couldn't sit here." Principal Lane looks at me, then at Cole, then at everyone else.
"Thank you, Coach Cummings. I can take it from here." Lane says.
"Sir, I know Layla. She would only do this if provoked. Just consider that." Coach says before he leaves. Yes, Coach is a family friend, so he does know me. Lane only nods.
"Miss Soto. Are you calm enough to tell me what happened? Or do you need another minute to cool down?"
"I can talk. He was sitting in my seat, so I told him to move. He didn't, and I told him again. He still sat there, with a cocky little smile on his stupid face. And he disrespected me and Eli, so I got pissed, and hit him." I growl, glaring at Cole.
"Yes, well. You did more than hit him. Eli, what happened?" Lane asks. Eli tells him the same as me, as does Chase, Faith and Blake. "Well, Mr. Reeves, looks like the odds are against you. One week detention. And as for you, Miss Soto. You know fighting isn't allowed. I think you should go home, tell your brother what happened and come back when you've calmed down." Lane leaves, and everyone stare at me. "Well, be seeing you." I say, waving. "And Cole, next time, just move."
