Lava Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 4 squares of semi-sweet baking chocolate
  • Whipped cream
  • 6 tbs flour

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Butter ¾ of 4 custard cups and place them on the baking sheet. Take a microwave safe bowl and melt chocolate and butter in it, for about 1 minute. Whisk the mixture with a wire whisk until chocolate is completely melted. Add in sugar, egg yolks and whisk well. Stir in flour, beat well so that no lumps are formed. Pour the batter equally into the prepared custard cups and bake in the preheated oven for about 14 minutes. Let stand for a minute and then run a small knife around the cupcakes to loosen them. Once loosened, invert the cakes onto serving plates. Top with whipped cream before serving. Serve immediately.

Chocolate Cake Without Flour

Ingredients
  • 3 large eggs, plus 4 large egg yolks at room temperature
  • 2 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 5 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tbs coffee liqueur
  • 5 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbs cornstarch
  • 1¼ sticks of unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp salt
Process

Take 8 four oz. cups, bowls or oven-proof ramekins. Butter and dust these bowls with sugar and set aside. Melt solid chocolate and butter in microwave until smooth, stir well and set aside. In another large mixing bowl, whisk cornstarch, sugar, cocoa powder and salt together. When well blended, add the chocolate mixture and stir well. Now add in liqueur, yolks and eggs whisk until all the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. Pour ½ cup batter in ramekin or cups and bake at 375 degrees in a preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes. The cakes are done when the crusts start cracking. Let them stand for 5 minutes and then use a knife to loosen the sides and then invert into a plate. Dust with powdered sugar while serving. This is one of the best chocolate lava cake recipes. Molten Lava Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 large eggs
  • 10 tbs (1 ¼ stick) butter
  • 6 (1 ounce) squares bittersweet chocolate
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tbs orange liqueur
  • 2 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 425°F and grease 6 custard cups. Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler or microwave, when done add sugar and flour and mix well. Now add in yolks and eggs, mix until smooth and then add in orange liqueur along with vanilla extract. Pour the batter into prepared custard cups. Bake for about 14 minutes. Bake until the edges are firm and the center runny. Top with ice cream and serve.
