Lauren Conrad: I Wanted to Quit The Hills
It has been reported that The Hills’ star, Lauren Conrad, considered quitting the show due to her ongoing fight with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

Conrad said in the new issue of Seventeen magazine, "I actually came dangerously close to not doing season three, because I really didn’t want to do the show with Heidi and Spencer. I’m not who they are. I don’t stage my own publicity. I just kind of live my life and do my job, and I don’t want to be grouped with them." Conrad decided to stay after MTV said that in order for the show to work all the characters had to return for season three. No doubt for all the drama!
Conrad and Montag used to be best friends, but their friendship soured over Montag’s relationship with Pratt. According to Conrad, Montag and Spencer spread rumors that she had made a sex tape with ex-boyfriend Jason Wahler. Both Conrad and Wahler have denied that they made a tape. Conrad told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show that Montag is "not the same person" she used to know. Conrad also blames the quest for fame for the change in Montag.
She said, "Some people are willing to betray years of friendship just to get a little bit of spotlight. They just want to be famous so badly, and that’s never really made sense to me. I mean, it’s fun to go out and do stuff in Hollywood, but if it was gone tomorrow, I really wouldn’t be disappointed." Montag told CosmoGirl! in an interview for their October issue, "I just have to accept that Lauren will never be seen in a bad light." She claims that Conrad is not the innocent that she is portrayed on the show…but somehow she doesn’t come off as conniving and desperate as Montag.
