Land Rover Vehicles Now Target Of Thieves
In the United Kingdom, police stations have been bombarded by reports from citizens and from owners of Land Rover vehicles. What is happening is that many Land Rover vehicles have certainly been the target by thieves and robbers who seem to be quite so interested in the parts – perhaps from the smallest mirror to the Land Rover suspension parts to the whole lot.
In Chatteris, one Land Rover unit has been reported to be stolen. Later on, some citizens have found the missing Land Rover in Paston in Peterborough. However, the vehicle has already been stripped of all its Land Rover parts. However, the mentioned Land Rover is actually just one of the give vehicles that were stolen all across the Cambridgeshire area for the last two months or so. The numbers seemingly are still continuing to rise.
With that, the local police are now asking Land Rover owners and Land Rover drivers to make sure that their vehicles are secure especially if they would be leaving their vehicles behind. After all, they could never know when these car thieves and robbers would be targeting and attacking their vehicles. Plus, so as to be on the safe side, the local police are saying that owners should make sure that they double check their vehicles to make sure that these are secure. A vehicle that looks like it was not locked up properly would likely be the target of these wrong doers.
As per the reports that the police in the United Kingdom say, the last two months, there were already give Land Rover vehicles that were stolen in different areas. The list of areas where the vehicles were stolen comprise of Sawtry, St. Ives, Old Weston, Peterborough, and in Chatteris.
"We have seen a noticeable increase in thefts of Land Rovers in the last two months and I would urge all owners to review the security of their vehicle. We believe these vehicles may be being stolen for their parts and investigations are underway to trace those responsible," explains Trevor Bracken who is the community safety manager in the March area.
