Ingredients Needed
- White vinegar
- Dish detergent
- Lemon juice
- Ammonia
- Rubbing alcohol
- Baby shampoo
- Hot water
Recipe #2: In a bucket, combine 1 cup of lemon juice, 2 cups of hot water, 2 cups of white vinegar, and 2 oz of dish detergent. Mix everything properly with a mop and clean your wooden floors.
Recipe #3: Get a bucket to mix in ½ cup of rubbing alcohol, 1 teaspoon dish detergent, and 2 tablespoons of ammonia. Mix these ingredients together and then add 2½ cups of hot water in it. Take a mop and use the solution as a cleaner.
Recipe #4: Add 2 teaspoons of baby shampoo in with one gallon of hot water in the bucket. Take a mop and wash the laminated floors.
Recipe #5: Take at least ¼ cup of ammonia and white vinegar with 1 tablespoon of dish detergent. Mix everything together in a bucket filled with 3 cups of hot water. With the help of a mop, you can use this cleaner to wash your floors.
Recipe #6: In a bucket, fill equal parts of water and Windex solution. Stir it with a mop and clean your laminate flooring.
Clean Wood-finish Laminated Floors
You have installed your laminate floors because you find it of high quality and an economical investment. The floors have a finished shine and gloss to them which makes the entire room or house more appealing. Maintaining the floors is not a tedious task. See how easy it is to apply the wood floor cleaner.
Materials Needed
- Hot water
- Bucket
- Dry mop
- Spray bottle
- Clean cloths
- Rubber gloves
- Broom
Step #2: Take the bucket and make a batch of cleaner from any of the recipes mentioned above. Pour the liquid into a spray bottle. Make sure that the water you use is really hot, and hence, you will have to wear rubber gloves.
Step #3: Spray the cleaner all over the floor, making sure every inch has been covered with it. Once the bottle is empty, fill it back up with some more from the bucket and finish spraying.
Step #4: Now the dry mop needs to be used to clean the floor. Work your way from the inside, near the walls and then slowly track your steps out. Go in a clockwise manner and get the cleaner in every crack and corner.
Step #5: Once the mopping is finished, let the cleaner seep into the floor. After a while, buff the floors with clean cloths. This technique will make the floors shine like new. You can also place the cloths on the floor and use a dry mop for buffing, if you don't wish to use your hands.
Make sure you use the correct ingredients mentioned above and not make any substitutions. A laminate floor cleaner needs to be appropriate amount to work on the surface so that it won't take the shine off, instead of adding it.
