Laila Ali Welcomes a Son
Laila Ali, of Dancing with the Stars and American Gladiators fame, and her husband, former NFL star Curtis Conway, welcomed a baby boy on August 26.

Ali, 30, gave birth to Curtis Muhammad Conway Jr. on August 26, 2008. The baby weighed in at 6.8 pounds and was 19 inches long. Ali wrote on her Website Thursday, "Mama and baby are resting." In May, Ali announced her pregnancy. She said, "I don’t know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I’m excited that I have a life inside of me that my husband and I created." She added, "I am 100 percent undeniably happy. I’ve never been able to say that before."
In an interview in the spring Ali said that she was using a mid-wife and planned on having the baby at home naturally. It was reported that there were a few complications with the birth, but that everyone is healthy and fine now. This is the first child for Ali and the fourth for Conway. He has 12-year old twin boys Cameron and Kelton and an eight-year old daughter Leilani.
Ali is the daughter of famed boxer Muhammad Ali and his third wife, Veronica Porsche Ali. She began boxing almost 10 years ago and had her first match on December 8, 1999. This is the second marriage for Ali who was previously married to Johnny "Yahya" McClain in August 2000. The couple divorced five years later. Ali and Conway, 36, were married in July 2007 after dating for two years. Besides boxing and motherhood Ali has been working on her television career. She appeared on Dancing with the Stars in mid-2007 and came in third place with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She is also co-hosting the new version of American Gladiators with Hulk Hogan.
