Kristy Swanson Arrested

Swanson was arrested Saturday night in Kingston, Ontario for allegedly assaulting her fiancé Lloyd Eisler’s ex-wife, Marcia O’Brien. The alleged assault occurred on Friday night and Swanson turned herself in on Saturday night and was booked on an assault charge. She filed her own complaint against O’Brien on Sunday. Swanson was released on $500 bail. It has not been determined whether or not O’Brien will be arrested on assault charges.

Swanson and Eisler were reportedly going to pick up Eisler and O’Brien’s two children for the Father’s Day weekend when the incident occurred. Constable Mike Menor of the Kingston Police Department said, "It’s a she-said-she-said type of thing. Pretty cut and dry really." Eisler sided with Swanson and said, "I am sorry that my ex-wife is being so vindictive. I left my wife, contrary to what other media sources have reported in the past. My ex-wife is trying to cover up the assault by falsely pressing charges with the local constable first." O’Brien refused to comment on the actual incident but said, "For them to do something like this in front of my children is horrendous." Swanson is set to appear in court on July 31.

Swanson, who starred in the big screen version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Eisler, a former world champion ice skater met when they were partners on Skating with Celebrities. O’Brien was eight months pregnant with the couple’s second child when Eisler announced he was divorcing her and announced his relationship with Swanson. Both Swanson, 37, and Eisler, 44, deny reports that their romance broke-up his marriage. The couple welcomed their fist son Magnus in February.
