Kristin Cavallari Says She's Being Attacked on The Hills
Kristin Cavallari felt ambushed by her cast mates as the latest season of The Hills kicked off with a huge fight amongst the girls.
Poor Kristin. After years of lurking in the shadows of The Hills, she's now enjoying her chance to grab the spotlight that had shown so brightly on Lauren Conrad. But the real reason that she's on the show is to stir things up and create some drama for a reality tv series that is the epitome of a "waste of time" for viewers.
Kristin was the love-her-or-hate-her character from Laguna Beach and she was able to take that image with her and create somewhat of a middling career as a "former reality television star" - at least much more of a career than most of those types of people are able to generate in the entertainment industry. It doesn't hurt, of course, that Kristin Cavallari is naturally beautiful and is the essence of the stereotypical California Girl.
With the other Hills characters already well-entrenched in the on-screen personas, Kristin is coming in cold and has to establish herself. She's trying to do that in the face of Audrina, Heidi, Stephanie and others, who all probably want their own stars to shine a little brighter on the show.
The departure of Lauren Conrad, who was ironically the least interesting character on the show, has left some sort of attention vacuum among the remaining cast. Kristin was brought in to fill that void and become the new sort-of centerpiece of the show. But the other girls have been paying their reality TV dues for years and I'm sure they think it's their turn to be The New LC of The Hills.
