Kim Kardashian may be in a hurry to get her divorce from NBA basketball star Kris Humphries finalized, but the ball player himself and, more to the point, his attorney, see no reason to comply with her wishes. Kardashian, of course, has moved on in a big way, and is now expecting a baby with Kanye West. It appears that at the center of attention for Humphries’ lawyers is the baby to be.
Noted the attorney, Marshall M. Waller, "What is really going on here is that an 'urgency' in the form of an apparently unplanned pregnancy, something the Respondent had nothing to do with, is perceived by Plaintiff as an opportunity to gain a litigation advantage by trying to force this court to prematurely set this matter for trial."
Waller explained that he called the pregnancy unplanned, taking the opportunity to take a shot directly at Kim. He noted, "Indeed, why would the Petitioner plan to get pregnant in the midst of divorce proceedings?" Why, indeed. The answer is probably that Kim is modeling her life after a movie that is running in her head, thus the jump from one famous boyfriend to another and, the coup de grace, the hookup with West that will lead to a celebrity baby, thus guaranteeing another generation known for nothing more than being famous.
Waller added that he was frustrated, noting, "Why don’t these people just give us the access we want? What are they hiding? What is there in the raw footage of this televised courtship, 72-day marriage and resultant breakup that they are so afraid of us discovering?"
