Kris Humphries Determined to Face Kim Kardashian in Court

Rumors are flying that Kris Humphries would rather miss his NBA playoff games than risk not being able to face Kim Kardashian in divorce court.
TMZ is reporting that sources close to Kris Humphries claim that the NBA star would choose to miss his Brooklyn Nets’ playoff games if they conflicted with his court dates with Kim Kardashian. The judge handling Humphries’ case against Kardashian has set a court date of May 6th. Of course, the trial could potentially last a few days, which would mean that Humphries could conceivably be unavailable for a few days during the NBA playoffs. At this point, however, all the speculation is purely hypothetical as no one knows when or where the Brooklyn Nets might be playing around the time of the trial.

And with the availability of charter flights and other special accommodations, it’s very possible that Humphries could spend his days in court humiliating Kim Kardashian and then make it to his playoff games in the evenings. Clearly, that would be a win-win situation for Humphries.

Humphries is challenging Kardashian’s petition for an uncontested divorce on grounds that their marriage was fraudulent and staged entirely for the benefit of Kim Kardashian and her reality television empire. And despite TMZ and other media outlets bashing Humphries, he’s clearly got some leverage in this matter.

It really doesn’t matter to Humphries if his name gets smeared in the press - that’s been happening since he started dating Kardashian in the first place. But if Humphries testifies in open court about the absurd fiction that is "reality television" from the Kardashians, he could do some real damage to their brand and their ratings. He could be playing that angle for some sort of financial settlement from Kim - or he could simply be hell-bent on getting some measure of revenge. Either way, Humphries appears to be the one calling the shots in this situation.
