Kiss Me Sweet September Lies

Can you cope?
It's been about a month
Since I saw her face
Her kiss and her touch
What I can't erase
The fact she said she loved me
Is what I can't forget
Her turning her back on me
And now I have to let
Her go
Our love we will
Never know

Kiss me sweet September lies
Oh how you left me to my demise
Feeling cold on the floor here
Unloved and wrong without you near
Kiss me sweet September lies
Lonely, the old man cries
Himself to sleep
Thinking of you
It's all that's important
To get him through
The rest of his days
Kiss me sweet sweet lie

We stop and stare in the street
Only to look at our feet
Waiting for the other to move on
Looking away and be gone
No matter do we have to say
Hello to each other any day
I'm sure that I'll move on
But should I say so long?

Kiss me sweet September lies
Oh how you left me to my demise
Feeling cold on the floor here
Unloved and wrong without you near
Kiss me sweet September lies
Lonely, the old man cries
Himself to sleep
Thinking of you
It's all that's important
To get him through
The rest of his days
Kiss me sweet sweet lie

I'm sure
I'm okay
Don't want to be here
So how do we
Move past this
Utter wrong bliss
Sing sweet little lullaby
Sing sweet while we cry
Sweet little cherry pie

Kiss me sweet September lies
Oh how you left me to my demise
Feeling cold on the floor here
Unloved and wrong without you near
Kiss me sweet September lies
Oh how you left me to my demise
Feeling cold on the floor here
Unloved and wrong without you near
Kiss me sweet September lies
Kiss me sweet sweet lie
