Poonam had this to say, "I'm a cricket fanatic and I'm a die-hard supporter of my nation. India needs a lot of support and this is my way of supporting the team." She also said that her parents had no problem with her doing this. She believes that she is a new generation girl and that she is ready to do anything so that India can win the cup, something that has not happened for 28 long years now. Either Poonam is the biggest fan of the Indian cricket team, or she is the biggest patriot around, or she is doing this as a publicity stunt to boost her career in the entertainment.
