Kids' Choice Awards Sees Miley in Tears and HSM3 a Big Winner
At Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards, Miley Cyrus broke down and cried after winning Favorite Female Singer and High School Musical 3 beat out major films for Favorite Movie.
Lately it seems that Miley Cyrus can't catch a break with the media. Her popularity had reached that point where the only cool thing to say about Miley Cyrus was something negative. In Hollywood and the world of celebrity in general, you reach an apex of popularity and then you become a target to be beaten down and made fun of. It's human nature, of sorts.
But Miley was able to let her emotions flow a little bit during the Kids' Choice Awards over the weekend. After losing in some of the categories where she may have expected to win - like Favorite Television Show and Favorite TV Actress - she took home the orange blimp for Favorite Female Singer. She explained to the screaming kids through tears that she thought she was going to lose that category as well and seemed genuinely surprised and appreciated. That's probably just a little bit of a release after a few rocky months of being a little too popular for people to like her.
In happier Kids' Choice Awards news, High School Musical 3: Senior Year took down cinematic heavyweights like Iron Man and The Dark Knight to land the Favorite Movie Award. Major cast members like Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were there to accept that award and Hudgens also landed a solo award for Favorite Female Movie Star.
