Driving away from Jace was kind of sad in a strange way. Leaving him their, made me feel like a bitch. I felt a connection with him, even though I had met him once and it didn't turn out too well. I felt like I knew him from somewhere. I couldn't help but think that he was trying to save me. He stopped Daxen, but on the other hand he did say something about luring me into the forest and taking me somewhere. Deep inside I still hoped I would see him again.

Lexi took me back to the apartment and walked me to my door. I was still bursting to ask more questions but I couldn't get anything more out of her than a few words at a time. I couldn't help but think that she wasn't telling me everything, or wasn't supposed to tell me anything.

Opening the door of my house a strong smell of coffee hit me. It reminded me of the jacket that was over my face in the forest. As soon as I heard footsteps from the kitchen I ran into the bathroom, thankfully it was the first room in the house. I jumped in, closed the door and locked it. I lent up against the door and tried to breathe properly. A knock on the door startled me so much, I jumped and then almost fell over because my hip clipped the side of the towel rack.

I lived alone with my mum. My dad had left before I even knew him. He left when I was about three. My mum said he just disappeared without a word. All he did was leave a note. My mum never showed me but on the day every year she pulls out a blue box every year with a photo of him, the letter and a locket with a bundle of light brown hair just like mine, my hair is long and has natural blonde highlights in it, it also has a natural beach waves, my mum would cry over it all night.

"Taiven, I didn't know you were up. Do you want breakfast?" Mum was questionable asking.
"Yeah okay. I just got up. Um... no it's ok I can make my own breakfast." I called through the door.
"Ok then. I have to go to work early so I won't be able to drive you into town. Is it ok if you walk."
"Yea it's ok, I'll see you later, bye."
"Bye honey."
