Kevin Federline Files for Custody

Spears, 24, filed for divorce from the aspiring rapper/actor on November 7 after two years of marriage. Spears cited the Hollywood standard "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce. Just a day later Federline, 28, filed his own petition for sole custody of their sons Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James, 2 months. In the filing he also requested visitation rights for Spears and is seeking spousal support and that Spears pay all his attorney fees.

Federline’s lawyer, Mark Kaplan, released the following statement, "Kevin is prepared to go the distance in order to do what he feels is necessary to protect and safeguard his children and will not be intimidated or dissuaded from pursuit of those goals." It remains to be seen if Federline will contest the pre-nup which is reported to be "iron clad." There is a discrepancy in their actual date of marriage, which was originally thought to be September 2004, but on her divorce papers she listed her marriage date of October 6, 2004.

Both Spears and Federline have been living it up since the separation. Spears has been out and about in New York City living the high life. Federline is out promoting his new album Playing with Fire. He played Chicago’s House of Blues Wednesday night. Federline yelled to the crowd, "Hey, I see a lot of fine ladies in here. You know I’m a free man, right, ladies? You wanna dance with a pimp?" After the show, Federline partied at Chicago hotspot Cabaret. He later announced, "It’s a party for K Federline. Gonna rock and roll." Puh-leeze….
