Kelly Osbourne Charged with Assault in London
Kelly Osbourne has been charged with assaulting a tabloid reporter in London, stemming from the alleged incident that occurred in August of last year.
Scotland Yard does not officially release the names of those charged in criminal incidents, but reports seem to confirm that Kelly Osbourne has indeed been charged with slapping the face of a tabloid reporter at a London club on August 29. The incident appears to have stemmed from an earlier report by the same journalist that implied that Kelly's boyfriend, Luke Worrall, did not know how earthquakes happen. That's right, the whole thing came about because of a geological misunderstanding. The back-story as to how Worrall's earthquake knowledge became an issue is still unclear.
After learning of the report in which the Daily Mirror columnist - Zoe Griffin - disparaged Worrall, Osbourne confronted Griffin at the London club, Punk. She started in on Griffin about the Worrall piece, as well as another in which the writer apparently took a shot at Ozzie's intellect. Then, the writer claims, she was struck on the cheek with the open hand of Osbourne. After the two were separated, Kelly came back at her, threatening that she had better be careful if she intended to write about their altercation.
Now it appears that Kelly is going to have to answer in court for her actions and that Griffin will have plenty more to write about once the case is settled. And while Kelly appears to have settled down nicely with Luke, it's clear that she's still got a bit of a wild streak in her.
