Drama that can last you a lifetime...
I reached over to grab a piece. "Girl you trippin. You got legs, take ya self into the kitchen." KiKI said moving the plate out of my reach. I smack my teeth and roll my eyes at her. "I love you too, Keisha." She says eating her chicken. As I stand up, I cause Qua to fall off the couch. "Damn Keisha! I mean I was right there!" Qua yelled. Me and the girls were dying from laughing so hard. "My bad Qua." I manage to say through my laughs.
When I'm in the kitchen, I raid the cabinets. I decide on some Ramon noodles. While I'm waiting for the water to boil, I hear KiKi answer the front door. "Wats up Savion." KiKI says. "Wat up. Where's Keisha?" He asks. "She in da kitchen. You better not be in my momma's peach cobbler!" KiKi yells. I poke my head around the corner and look at KiKi. "Girl ain't nobody going for ya mom's peach cobbler. Hey babe." I say to Savion, then go back into the kitchen.
A few minutes later Savion comes into the kitchen. "Hey baby, we need to talk." He says taking my hot bowl of noodles and placing it on the counter. Now any other time I would have cussed someone out for taking my food, but I heard the urgency in his voice. So I let him pass.
Savion took my hand and lead me upstairs into KiKi's room. I sit on her bed, while Savion closes the door. "Wats on ya mind, Savion?" I ask. Savion looked at me with love in his eyes. "You my girl, my wifey and I love you. My momma loves you like one of your own, Vanna and Vanae already look at like a younger and older sister and now I want my daughter to look at you like a mother." Savion muttered the last part to the point where I couldn't hear him.
" What was the last part you said. I coulda have heard you wrong. Did you say something about a baby?" I ask, my voice with a edge in my voice. Savion looked at me with sad eyes. "Yeah my daughter Jewel. Her mother just showed up, talking bout I need to..." I cut him off. "Is this a joke? My boyfriend of 3 years is telling me he has a baby?" I ask looking at Savion. "Baby I swear I didn't know the girl got pregnant. I was dumb, I love..." "Shut up! How old is she?" I ask cuttimg hom off again. He looked shocked. "2 years old." He says.
I sit back down on the bed with a thump. Looking at Savion, I tried my hardest to keep the tears from escaping. Savion steps closer towards me. "Don't come near me! Savion we been together for 3 years, ya baby is 2 years old. Do da freaking math! When?" I ask, the tears streaming down my face. Savion looked like he didn't want to answer, but thought better of it. "When you had that family reuion down in the ATL. Before Karma and nem left for Tidewater. I thought back to that time. "So while I was gone, ya nast self was out doing some hoochie? Not only that, you gotta get her pregnant? Ya dumb self didn't even think to use protection. What if she had something, Savion. All the times we had sex, as I think about. The day I got back we had sex. Why did you tell me Savion? Why wait two whole years?"
"Baby I am so sorry. I love you. I don't know why I did it. Da only reason I told you is because her momma threatened to tell you. She wants me to keep Jewel or she'll take me to court. I ain't trying to put that kind of burden on my family. So I said yeah. I want to meet Jewel and I want you to meet her too." Savion says coming closer towards me again.
