Keisha Chapter 18

I feel my blood boiling. I close my fist and head for the kitchen. My friends all look at me, but don't say anything. "What's up ya'll." I say coolly. "Sup. I didn't think you were coming, bro." Trey says giving me dap. "And miss the party of the year? I think not. But forreal. Who da hell is that with Keisha? Why he all up on her. That's my girl." I growl. Keena smacks her lips. "That's were you wrong Savion. Keisha don't go with you no more. You messed up and she is moving on. I think you should do the same." She says giving her two cents. "Man whateva. Keisha is wifey and I ain't bout to lose her to dat scrub." I say heading for the door.

Before I reach the door, a hand stops me. I look back to see Nychel. "Come on." She says pulling me into the living room. We keep on walking until we're outside in the front yard. "What's up with ya girl? Why she playing me?" I ask. Nychel looks at me with pity and I can't stand it. "She ain't playing you. She is having a good time. I'mma tell you something. Keisha didn't even want to come to the party, in fear of seeing you. So me and the girls gave her a pep talk. We told her to let you go. Have fun and meet new people. She is doing that, but you don't have to worry. The dude she hanging wit is the rebound. She is trying to hurt you, like you did." She informs me.

Again I feel guilty. "Man why does everyone keep pushing that all up in my face. I know I messed up and I am truly sorry. I just want my best friend back." I say quietly. "Best friend?" Nychel inquires. "Yes my best friend. Keisha might be my girl, but she was my best friend first. We done been through to much and said to many things for it to end like this. I don't care what any of ya'll say. I am going to get my girl back, but if she won't take me back. I'll settle for being friends." I say going back into the house.

I head for the back door again and this time no one stops me. As I step into the yard, I let my eyes adjust to the strobe light. I spot Keisha and her "friend" on the swing. The sight of them hugging makes my stomach drop. Slowly I make my way over to them, Keisha spots me first. She don't look ti happy. "Can we talk?" I ask. "I'm kinda busy. So no." She says coldly. "Please Keisha. I'm just asking for 5 minutes. After that I'll leave you alone. For good, if that's what you want." I say hands in my pocket. She looks at me then at the dude she with. "Like I said, I am kinda busy so..." "Let him say his piece. I'll be back." Nigel says standing up and walking back into the house. Keisha sighs, I sit down beside her. For a minute we sit in silence. "Well. What you want?" Keisha says getting annoyed. "That's easy, you. I want you back Keisha, I love you and miss you. I know I messed up and I am really sorry. I can't go back in the past and redo things, and honestly I wouldn't want to. Yeah I wish I never met Lashonda but I got a beautiful baby girl out of it. I love that girl with all my heart. I want my wifey to meet her, and I want my daughter to meet her future step mom. Keisha I know I hurt you and it kills me to know that I caused ya pain. I have to live with that for the rest of my life, I just want you back in my life. Tell me you want the same."

Keisha looks at me with tears in her eyes. "Savion I loved you, hell I still do love you. That's what makes it so hard to move on. I can't get you out of my mind. I cried myself to sleep for two nights straight. The pain you caused me is scarred into my heart. I ain't gonna lie, I want you back. I do forreal, and I will love to meet ya daughter." She says crying. "But." I say. "But you messed up. I can't get back with you just because you said sorry. That would make me look weak and I ain't weak. I am willing to start over though. Be friends and see where that takes us. Now that means there are no strings attached. I can see other people and so can you."

I look at the girl I love and see she is serious. Before I can answer the is a loud scream and a gun shot goes off.
