‘Keep The Drive U.S.A.’ Targeted On Stopping Nation’s Number One Killer

Car crashes. Auto accidents. Vehicular collisions.

These are known as the top killer in the United States. Elsewhere, they also prevail as one of the highest causes of death. And oftentimes, teenage drivers are those who are involved in such untoward incidents.

Because of such a thing, some forty six teenagers and teen leaders from around and across the United States are now on a really important mission. And their mission is called "Keep the Drive" which has been funded by the Allstate Foundation. This "Keep the Drive" campaign is actually a movement of teenagers so as to stop, or even just minimize, car crashes from happening.

Although it is very important that you do have the right kind of Ford parts to make sure that your vehicle would be running smoothly and as planned while on the road, this is simply just one small detail when it comes to the looking at the whole picture of car crashes. You see, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, or the IIHS, there are about six thousand teenagers who die each year in car crashes. Their statistics also indicate that these crashes are even greater in number compared to other causes of death like drug abuse, suicide, or even violence. Aside from the summer months, October is also considered as one of the deadliest months for teenage drivers.

The statistics from the IIHS are quite alarming and with that, the previously mentioned teenage leaders would be participating in the "Keep the Drive" campaign. This would be an event where the minds would be merging as one so as to be able to lessen the number of car crashes on the streets and roads of the country.

This event is surely going to be one very interesting thing. The brainstorming happened last September 29th up until the 1st of October. They were able to discuss everything and anything that could help them keep the statistics down.

Lorraine Radcliff is one of the teen leaders who joined the event and has personally experiencing losing friends and classmates because of car crashes. Radcliff states, "Keep the Drive is about encouraging our peers to drive smart to protect everything that’s important to us: our keys, cars, friends, futures and freedom. We’re in the driver’s seat with this movement. Messages about smart driving mean a lot more when we hear them from other teens."
