Katherine Heigl Weds

Heigl and Kelley exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in Park City, Utah Sunday afternoon. The 30-minute ceremony took place at the Stein Eriksen Lodge and ended just after 5 p.m. Heigl and Kelley were surrounded by over 100 friends and family members. The tent was reportedly decorated with blue and purple lights and had silver chairs with white cushions. The bridesmaids were in red gowns and Heigl and Kelley wrote their own vows. Heigl’s Grey’s Anatomy co-stars T.R. Knight and Sandra Oh were on hand to witness the nuptials as was Private Practice’s Kate Walsh. Knight said of the wedding, "It was incredible. It was beautiful."

Heigl, 29, and Kelley, 27, met in 2005 when she appeared in the video for his hit song "Only You." The two fell in love and Kelley popped the question on June 19, 2006. He presented Heigl with a 3-carat sparkler and half of the platinum band is reportedly from Heigl’s mother’s engagement ring. Kelley said in an interview in November that he was excited to marry Heigl. Kelley said, "It’s about showing someone you love that you’re actually capable of the ultimate commitment."

Heigl recently said of marriage, "It’s a crapshoot. The odds are really bad, especially in this town. But I have a lot of faith in Josh, and I wanted to have that one day when I stand in front of my friend’s and family and honor him and how important he is in my life." Maybe Heigl and Kelley will begin a new trend for the Hollywood crowd by actually putting some effort into the marriage unlike some other people that marry after a month and call it quits faster than you can say "I do!"
