Kate Hudson Opens Up About Matthew Bellamy, Pregnancy
Kate Hudson didn't really expect to fall in love with Matthew Bellamy, but that's how things worked out and now the pair are in love and expecting a child together.
Kate Hudson spends her time these days with British musician Matthew Bellamy, with whom she is expecting a baby. But no one really knows too much about Bellamy or the couple's relationship. In the May issue of InStyle, however, Hudson opens up quite a bit about Bellamy and her pending foray into motherhood (for a second time - she has a 7-year-old son with her ex-husband). Said Hudson in the interview, "You always hear people say, 'I never thought this would be the person I would end up with,' but I don't think you every really know."
The 31-year-old actress clearly has a thing for musicians, having already been married to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. Hudson noted that a friend of hers from high school introduced her to Bellamy, who fonts the band "Muse," during the Coachella music festival. Says Hudson, "We realized we had met a few years earlier, in Australia. Then I got distracted and said, 'I've got to find my friends. I don't know where they went.' He just looked at me and said, 'Come on, I'll take care of you.' That's when I went, 'Wait a minute, who are you?'"
Hudson says she was wary of getting into a serious relationship, but she understood almost immediately that was essentially the only place they could go with things. Says Hudson of her new man, "Matthew was polite and immediately protective, which for somebody like me who's all over the place - one minute I'm over here and the next I've over there - is important. He is just an amazing person." Bellamy and Hudson are now expecting their first child, which also was not in her plans, but she seems perfectly willing to roll with it.
