Kari and Natalie Enter a Haunted Ship
Where are kids?
On May 17, 1989, two girls mysteriously fell overboard from a ship. The ship was traveling down to Mexico from Long Beach Harbor. Now it's been over 20 years since the two girls fell overboard. Their bodies were never found but their clothes did float ashore.
Kari and Natalie read in the Seward Park High School newspaper that the ship is now abandoned. There is a rumor that the restaurant down by the pier named "The Captain's Wharf", is supposedly haunted. The two girls that fell overboard 20 years ago have been haunting passengers boarding the ship and traveling to Mexico. Natalie said to Kari, "Let's go and check this story out, and see what happens to us when we go onboard". Carie said, "No Natalie, I'm afraid of ghosts. Besides, I have to do my chores at home". Natalie said," Carie, quit making up excuses or I'll drag you to the old shipyard". Kari said, "Fine I'll go, but I'll probably be grounded for not doing my chores. Let's go then." They head down to the pier where the old ship has been abandoned for years.
They have a pad to take down notes and a video camera to record what happens. Natalie starts to record and Kari said to her, "This place gives me the goose bumps." Natalie said to Kari, "Let's go and check out the old ship that we've heard so many rumors about." As they start boarding the old ship, it starts moving all by itself. The girls start freaking out. Kari said to Natalie, "Let's get off this creepy ship." First, they thought of jumping off the boat but quickly threw out that idea. Second, they try to steer the ship back towards the shore but that didn't work because the gears were rusted. Kari and Natalie turn and pray to the heavens. All of a sudden, the ship starts to move and heads back to shore. Then the girls see two beautiful girls dancing on the balcony with their families. Kari and Natalie start to cry because it was the two girls that fell overboard 20 years ago. They realize that one of the girls was the daughter of a close friend of Natalie's mom.
Kari and Natalie felt terrible for the two girls that fell overboard and couldn't enjoy the reminder of their vacation with their families. The next thing they see is the actual tragedy scene of how the two girls fell overboard. They're also able to see how the parents reacted and were grief stricken of their daughters' deaths. Kari and Natalie are in shock when they see these frightening images. So Kari said to Natalie," Did you get this all on tape?" Natalie said, "Yes, I did but let's not show anybody this video, not even your parents. They will freak out about this video we just filmed."
So Kari got home and her parents said to her, "Where have you been? You smell like the sea." Kari tells them that she and her friend Natalie went to Fisherman's Wharf to eat. She tells her parents that they grabbed a bite to eat, and then went down by the shore for a swim. Her parents said, "You are grounded for not doing your chores. You will also not be able to go out this weekend with your friend Natalie or any of your other friends." Natalie also goes home and her parents also ground her. They said to her, "You left the house without permission and took the 8mm video camera. You are grounded young lady and cannot go out this weekend." So the weekend passes by fast. Kari and Natalie never speak of this incident ever again, not to their parents or to any of their kids. It remains a deep buried secret.
