Just A Little Time

He looks at me in his pleading way
Telling me that I should stay
"I just don’t know" I say again
"When will you know? When?"
His eyes look at me in pure dreaded fear
He tells me that he wants me to stay near
But I tell him the situation through
He listens, but he doesn’t understand, if only he knew
"I still love the other, and I do regret,
As much as I love you, the other I can’t forget"
He pleads to me to not walk away
Pleads forever to stay that way
But I just don’t know what to do
I need to sort my head through
I explain that I have to figure what I need
I have to find what I want indeed
"Because although I care for you
I need space and time to think this through
I don’t know if I'm being truthful about this
Let’s just say, we can wait till our next kiss
I'm sorry, I know its hurts a lot
But I need to know if my feelings are true or not"
