Judge Eternity, Author's Interlude and Overview
This is an overview of Judge Eternity which was originally titled "The Chapel" as a short story. After being pressed by readers to continue it stands at 20 plus chapters.
"Judge Eternity" appears here in an unedited state and is currently at about 24,000 words, I expect to finish it at 120,000 plus words and will make a concerted effort to finish it in 2012. It is part of a series of books called "The Chronicles of Immortality" whose central figures are immortals and undead. The book doesn't fit any particular genre, so it will move around Buzzle as various styles of fiction, typically it is - historical, science fiction with romance, action and horror elements.
Where possible I weave historical references into the book.
This work is deliberately kept PG-13, if you're looking for more adult fare, you won't find it here. I encourage everyone to take the time to fill out a poll, they directly affect the direction of the following chapters, there is usually a 2 chapter lag.

Chapter 1 - Martin Luther meets Wennal.
Chapter 2 - Wennal threatens Martin.
Chapter 3 - Martin asks Wennal to tell his story.

Chapter 7 - The Abbot finds Martin Luther sleeping.
Chapter 8 - The Abbot remembers.
Chapter 9 - The Abbot remembers.
Chapter 10 - Wennal negotiates with Frederic for Martin's safety and thinks on Aeratu the Adversary and Arch Fiend.
Chapter 11 - Martin reflects on his meeting with Wennal, before leaving the abbey.
Chapter 12 - Martin meets Anthon the giant knight and begins his journey toward Wennal's castle.
Chapter 13 - Martin meets Anthon's wife and sons, then departs into the forest where he sees Anthon shot through the heart by brigands.
Chapter 14 - Anthon rises and defeats brigands.
Chapter 15 - Martin removes crossbow bolt from Anthon, Anthon fall unconscious.
Chapter 16 - Anthon dreams of his beginnings while Martin fight undead hunters.
Chapter 17 - Martin defeats undead, Anthon awakens.
Chapter 18 - Martin asks Anthon many questions as they continue their journey.
Chapter 19 - Martin and Anthon take refuge in a tomb and are stalked by enemies without and within.
Chapter 19A - The battle with the undead begins.
Chapter 20 - Martin is locked in battle with Arloch the ancient undead Saxon chief.
Epilogue - this was intended to be the end of this story but I received so much feedback asking that I continue it that it restarts in 21.
Chapter 21 - After surviving the attack in the barrow, Anthon the giant knight dreams and remembers happier times.
Chapter 22 - Anthon remembers when he first me Everin his love, perspective change to Everin.
Chapter 23 - Anthon is revealed to have also been Beowulf.
Chapter 24 - Everin remembers her beginnings as an immortal.
