JonBenet Ramsey is forever locked into the public eye as a tragic, doll-like six-year-old. The tiny beauty queen would be 17 years old now.

Her father, John Ramsey, 63, who has been dogged by suspicion about his possible involvement in his daughter’s 1996 murder, has apparently found a kindred soul in the mother of missing teenager Natalie Holloway, Beth Holloway Twitty.

According to Fox News, the two met in 2006 at a fundraiser, and have been dating since January of this year. They have allegedly been seen out and about at restaurants and museums, holding hands and kissing.

Holloway Twitty divorced her husband, George Twitty, last December. John Ramsey’s second wife Patsy, JonBenet’s mother, died in June of 2006 of ovarian cancer.

John Ramsey has denied a relationship. On Monday he told reporters, "The tabloid rumors are totally exaggerated," but added, "I have great respect for Beth and how she’s handled her terrible situation. We’ve developed a friendship of respect and admiration."

Natalie Holloway was an 18-year-old high school senior in May of 2005 when she disappeared on a class trip to Aruba. Suspects were arrested but then released, and no-one has been charged in her disappearance. After two years, she is presumed dead.

The murder of JonBenet Ramsey also remains unsolved. While both of her parents were long-time suspects in the crime, no charges were ever made against them, and no other suspects have been found.

While some might find the unusual friendship between John Ramsey and Beth Holloway Twitty odd, others think it makes perfect sense that they would find a common bond. Lin Wood, attorney for John Ramsey, told reporters, "They share common interests and concerns related to their children, particularly with respect to the actions of law enforcement and the media in response to those tragic losses."
